At 44 metres high and 100 metres long, Dettifoss is the most powerful waterfall in Europe. A mind-blowing 200 cubic metres of water cascade into Dettifoss’ gorge every second. The waterfall is accessible from both sides of the river Jökulsá but tread carefully on the rocky terrain.
