New volcanic eruption in Eyjafjallajokull
Announcement: 14th of April 2010
The eruption near Fimmvorudhals, in Eyjafjallajokull, may have stopped last Monday, but early this morning (14th of April 2010) a new volcanic eruption started under the Eyjafjallajokull glacier. At this moment it is difficult to estimate the size of the eruption. Aircraft on route over the south of the country have reported large amount of steam plumes rising up. All our volcano tours are on hold until further notice. There is no reason for travelers to worry about their trip to Iceland.
