SEO Specialist & Project Manager

Nordic Visitor is looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious and detail-oriented SEO Specialist & Project Manager based in Edinburgh or surrounds to join our Marketing department.

The ideal candidate is an energetic, driven and positive-minded individual with a high capacity for attention to detail who can work both independently and as an active member of the team.

You’ll be using your knowledge to plan and implement first-class SEO strategies and processes. You will monitor our websites to ensure they deliver optimal performance for search engines as well as a market-leading user experience.

Working with various stakeholders, you will also contribute to marketing projects and strategies that require guidance on SEO best practices, and take our Organic marketing efforts to the next level.

Responsible for initiating your own SEO-specific projects, you will also supervise the department’s multi-disciplinary digital projects with genuine passion for things digital and your knowledge & experience of best practice techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling projects.


Your role and responsibilities would include:
  • Ensuring all websites are implemented and maintained to SEO best practices
  • Delivering Technical SEO initiatives and projects
  • Managing delivery of various marketing projects using established methodologies
  • Providing analysis of campaigns, trends and user behaviour
  • Supporting, guiding and educating members of the Marketing team and other key stakeholders on SEO

Required skills and experience:
  • Experience in Search Engine Optimisation is required, preferably in international and enterprise contexts
  • Experience of project management systems such as Agile/Scrum/Kanban
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role (agency or in-house)
  • An undergraduate university degree appropriate for the position
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Beneficial skills and experience:
  • Experience in travel industry or passion for travel is desirable
  • Knowledge of how a digital project is built from start to finish
  • eCommerce experience is an advantage

Working at Nordic Visitor

Your working hours will be 36.5 hours per week inlcuding lunch breaks. You will report to the Director of Marketing in Edinburgh and work as part of a team based in Reykjavik & Edinburgh.

You will join a small but growing team at our Edinburgh office, conveniently located on George Street in the city centre. The office space is bright and airy and offers comfortable working conditions and a stimulating work environment.

Positioned close to various shops, restaurants and the beautiful Princes Street Gardens, the office has views of Edinburgh Castle and Firth of Forth. There’s a meeting room, breakout space and kitchen facilities.
