Nordic Visitor is looking for a creative, enthusiastic and detail-oriented Web Content Assistant to join the team at our office in Edinburgh.
Working with colleagues in the Marketing department, you will report to the Director of Marketing at our headquarters in Reykjavik, Iceland.
The ideal candidate is an energetic, driven and positive-minded individual with a high capacity for attention to detail who can work both independently and as an active member of the team.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will be adding new content to the company website and maintaining our existing site content. You will support our web development efforts to ensure our web pages are online, function without flaw and deliver users a rich online experience. Additionally, you will create and edit visual content, including images and video, for our website and social media profiles.
Role and responsibilities
  • Maintain and upload high quality website content, including text, video and images
  • Create landing pages and articles using CMS
  • Manage a varied workload to meet several project deadlines
  • Participate in web design and development
  • Source and update website images as required

Required skills and experience
  • Advanced knowledge of the web, latest trends and technologies
  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS)
  • A good understanding of, or experience with, HTML and CSS
  • Knowledge of Project Management tools
  • Able to use Adobe graphic software
  • Basic image optimisation skills
  • IT literate with knowledge of Office software
  • Organised and methodical with the ability to multitask
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with colleagues in remote positions
  • Analytical and solutions minded
Preferred skills and experience:
  • Data entry experience
  • Image and video editing experience
  • Basic web design experience

The typical work week is 40 hours per week, 8 hours each day with lunch breaks included. Our small but growing team in Edinburgh is located in a lively office at 139/2 George Street, conveniently situated in the city centre.
