We are very proud to announce that Nordic Visitor has earned the 2014 Education Award (Menntasproti ársins) from the Confederation of Icelandic Employers, SA (Samtök atvinnulífsins) at a large educational conference in Reykjavik on March 3, 2014.

This is a huge honor for us, as one of our major goals for the year was to develop one of the best and most innovative HR / educational policies in the country. We could not have done it without the enthusiastic teamwork of our staff, who participated in training efforts not just as students, but also as presenters, mentors and knowledge resources.

Through a combination of outside seminars and in-house interactive training sessions, our staff have further sharpened their skills in professional communications, destination management, sustainable tourism, healthy living and CPR/emergency response, among other topics related to professional and personal development.

And this isn't just good news for our staff. As our CEO was quoted in his statement, “our efforts over the past year have resulted in better job satisfaction and knowledge management among our staff, which has further increased the value for our clients.”

The video below, made by SA about our award, has some great footage of our staff in action at our Reykjavik headquarters (some text/audio in Icelandic):
