A part of the Royal Family’s history

The Royal Yacht Britannia is the former home-at-sea of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, having served the British Royal Family for over 40 years. Other famous world leaders who’ve sailed on the Britannia include Sir Winston Churchill, Nelson Mandela and Rajiv Gandhi. 

Today, the yacht is a 5-star visitor attraction and considered a must-see spot in Edinburgh. 

You can take a self-guided tour (with audio handset) of the vessel to visit the Bridge, State Apartments, Crew’s Quarters and Engine Room, as well as the Royal Sailing Exhibition. Or why not enjoy an afternoon tea on the Royal Tea Deck, with some freshly baked scones, jam and cream?
