The coolest place to sleep in Northern Norway

Nothing says “Arctic adventure” like sleeping in a hotel sculpted from snow and ice. Located on the outskirts of Kirkenes, the iconic SnowHotel is rebuilt every winter with a different decorative theme.

Each room is outfitted with a comfortable mattress set in a bedframe made from ice, and unique frozen artworks that adorn the walls. All guests receive thermal sleeping bags to stay nice and cosy overnight, despite the glacial surroundings.

Other amenities include the magical IceBar – where you can sip vodka from frozen glasses – a husky kennel, a reindeer park and a restaurant shaped like a traditional Sámi “lavvu” tent.
