The Trysil Mountain Resort, located in Norway’s largest ski area, boasts great views of the Østerdalen valley from its 820 metre (2,690 foot) elevation. In winter, you’ll find over 70 kilometres (43 miles) of alpine slopes and ski trails. Summer brings hiking, cycling, golf and river rafting, amongst a host of other outdoor activities. There’s even alpaca hiking and kite-skiing!

After a day of adventuring, retire to one of the many cosy lodges, restaurants and spas where you can relax. Local food, from hearty stews to sweet waffles, is part of the experience.
