Europe's highest road viewpoint
Dalsnibba is a dramatic mountain located at the end of the Geirangerfjord valley. You’ll find it about 7 kilometres (4 miles) south of the charming village of Geiranger. Dalsnibba offers a powerfully dramatic view and you’re likely to find it covered by snow, even in the summer months.
If you’re driving, you can get a fantastic view out from the mountain at the Dalsnibba viewpoint, Geiranger Skywalk. It’s located 1,500 metres (0.93 miles) above sea level, and it’s just off the road. The wind rushing through your hair and the eagle-eye view across the valley will make you feel as if you are soaring above the land.
You can get to the Skywalk by following the toll road, Nibbevegen. The road typically opens in mid-to-late May and closes in October. At the highest point there is a small souvenir shop and toilets.
