Österlen

Österlen is a region in the southeast of the Swedish province of Scania. The name comes from its location 'east of the route'. The descriptive term Österlen is associated with the writings of Nils Lovén (1796-1858) who was a clergyman and an author.

 

The area is a tourist destination known for its beautiful natural environment, historic buildings, quaint towns and kilometres of farmland.
