Stonehaven is a town in Aberdeenshire, Scotland that has grown from an Iron Age fishing village, which still stands as the town’s “auld toon” (old town). The town has a rich and storied history, with the local Dunnottar Castle being claimed by the famed William Wallace in 1297. Stonehaven was also a Jacobite town during the Jacobite uprising of 1715.
