Discover Sámi culture and embark on unforgettable excursions

Located on the island of Kvaløya (“Whale Island”), the Tromsø Friluftsenter provides visitors with an introduction to Northern Norway’s Sámi culture, as well as the chance to embark on a range of activities.

These include learning about Sámi folklore and reindeer herding, even helping to feed the reindeer. Visitors can enjoy tobogganing and snowshoeing under the enchanting northern lights in winter, or boat trips under the midnight sun in summer.

A visit to the Tromsø Friluftsenter always includes light refreshments, a professional guide and transfers to and from Tromsø.
