Our travel guide Barry and our driver Craig were outstanding. Every day there was a surprise 😁. Plus they showed us things that other guides and drivers probably would not have. They were extremely knowledgeable of Scotland. If course our travel consultant Chris was a tremendous help with coordinating our first trip overseas.

My wife and I recently took a Scotland Tour with Nordic Visitor and were very pleased with the overall service. Our tour coach was very comfortable. We had Dave as our tour guide and John as our driver, both presented themselves with the most extreme professionalism and were a pleasure to be with. We are excited to plan our next Nordic Visitor trip.

This trip was everything I'd hoped it would be! Barbara was an amazing tour guide, so kind and thoughtful. She enriched our experience with stories of the history and culture of Scotland that made this trip especially meaningful. Our driver John was a consummate professional and so courteous! He looked dashing in his kilt on the last night. All the sites we visited were stunning with just enough time in between each destination to get the most out of our time in this beautiful country. Worth every penny!

We had an amazing tour through the Scottish Highlands. Dave, our tour guide is super knowledgeable about the history, the culture and landscape of Scotland and the Highlands. We learned so much from him and he encouraged our questions and comments. The tour was wonderful because of Dave. Not to diss John, our driver, who is also a treasure. The two of them together made our trip super fun and we also learned a lot about Scotland.We visited so many amazing places. The planning of the tour was really good.I could not have asked for a more perfect tour for me. I loved every second of it and now just want to go back. Thanks for a lovely trip!

Both our Tour Manager and our driver were amazing!! There were only 5 of us so we got to visit some off itinerary places. We loved the tour and the hotels were very nice!

Our guide was fantastic, funny and so knowledgable! Gorgeous boutique hotels and outstanding meals. Our group of 10 got along so well and I would not hesitate to use Nordic Visitor again.

We had excellent service from our travel consultant, Magdalena, to plan all aspects of before and after the trip, she was always available to answer our questions. The tour was exactly what we were looking for, as part of a longer holiday. The hotels were all lovely, and of a really good standard. We had a fantastic tour guide in Barbara, and excellent driver in John. Only having 10 on our tour meant we had space in the bus to spread out and be really comfortable. John and Barbara brought all their local knowledge to the tour, and not only did we complete our itinerary, but had options for extra things if we wanted.

Chris and the rest of the team were wonderfully responsive while I was arranging my trip and were on top of issues along the way. Accommodations were excellent, the rentals were top-notch, and the proposed itinerary was excellent - enough time to get where we were going and explore along the way. I heartily recommend them to anyone wanting a personalized experience without the hassles and will use them again.

Michelle was so very helpful to us in the leadup to our Scotland trip. She answered each question we had, patiently and promptly. The transport via van was smooth and pleasant. Our driver, Stevie, was safe, professional and friendly. Our trip leader, John, was amazing. He was so knowledgeable, so helpful, so gracious to us. He looked out for us the entire trip and made sure that we were doing well. I could not imagine a different trip leader. I think he doubled the enjoyment we derived from our fantastic Scotland trip. He did an outstanding job.

Michelle got back with me quickly when I had a question. The guides and drivers were excellent and fun. No waiting around to get into our nice accommodations. All the activities were interesting. I learned a lot! I loved the Giants Causeway!

My friend and I went on the Wonders of Scotland trip, and it was incredible. The tour guide, Dave, and driver, John, went above and beyond and were so engaging throughout the entire experience. Nordic Tours did a wonderful job of laying out the trip, and Dave and John were an incredible complement to our experience. I am still daydreaming about the locations I must revisit and that pizza that I have to come back for! I loved the size of the group (15) and how Dave added the information our group wanted to learn more about. While you will spend some time in the luxury van, you get to see some amazing landscapes. I will be booking a future trip with Nordic Visitor!

This was our first Nordic tour and we were very satisfied with the trip. Our tour guide Dan was fantastic and kept us entertained for the whole trip. In addition, both drivers (Dave in Scotland and Adrian in Ireland) were equally great drivers and got us to our stops safely and timely. Our accommodations were very comfortable and above average. All of our breakfasts and dinners together were great.

Jana did an excellent job organizing our self-drive of Scotland and Ireland on very short notice. All aspects exceeded expectations.

Very informative travel guide and I was personally pleased that she referenced the Outlander series and Harry Potter movies at many sites. Driver was a true gentleman , courteous and we felt safe with his driving. Great hotels and best meals at the hotel in Skye. Loved the chef's taking time to describe our main course! Another day would have have made it less rushed!

From the first inquiry, to the tour itself, Nordic Visitor has been a joy to work with. The tour itself was well-organized and covered many historic and scenic sites. Our tour guide, Marc, was knowledgeable and fun to work with. Our driver, Tim, shared his knowledge of his homeland, and included tales and personal anecdotes. Our small group was never bored! The bus was very comfortable, and the accommodation each night was lovely. The group size was perfect; we enjoyed all the activities, and our group dinners were made even more fun when Marc and Tim joined us. I would certainly book another tour with Nordic Visitor.

Everything about my experience with Nordic Visitor was positive. From the initial inquiry to get more detailed information about the tour I was interested in, to the booking process and handling by my advisor, Chris, who continued to answer my many questions in the months leading up to travel, to the tour itself. Communications were excellent.Our tour guide ,Dave and our driver John, were top notch. Both went above and beyond throughout the week.The hotels were fairly nice and the food was of good quality.I came away from this trip with a much better understanding and appreciation of Scottish history and culture. Highly recommend.

My wife and I started to organise our Scotland and Ireland tour ourselves, however in the end decided to go with Nordic, and were glad we did. Our tour consultant Jana was excellent, nothing was too much trouble, we were able to customise our tour easily and, when we had a slight issue mid tour, our consultant fixed the problem and provided an accommodation upgrade for a couple of nights. Hotels (we had the comfort level) were good, as were the hire cars etc. The information package provided, including detailed itinerary notes, map and all the vouchers, all worked seamlessly.I know you pay for all the service and flexibility provided by Nordic, however in our case where we covered many miles and stayed in many hotels, it was worth it !

This is was our second trip using Nordic Visitor and like the first it was perfect. Our Travel Consultant listened and accommodated our needs and desires ensuring that we had the best vacation possible. Our accommodations were a nice mix of hotels, guest houses and B&B's, giving us a variety of experiences. Our favorite was Sconser Lodge on Isle of Skye in Scotland. The lodge was very cozy and the hosts made you feel like family; and the food, absolutely the best!! Nordic Visitor made it so very easy to enjoy our trip without all of the worries.

Nordic was such a great way for us to travel. Everything is organized for you covering a wide range of personal tastes. Definitely took the stress out of having to organize ourselves.

My husband and I went to Scotland for our honeymoon. Lauriane was our travel consultant and she was wonderful! She took care of everything for us: scheduling our tours and transport, reserving our hotel rooms, and giving us ideas on other activities we could do. When we arrived to the hotel, I was surprised to get a bag and a map that she had personally wrote where our tours met and where our hotel was located. She made the whole planning process for Scotland stress and worry free!! She even texted me the names of our drivers that would be picking us up and dropping us off at the airport. We had so much fun and our planning another UK trip. I highly recommend using Nordic Visitor for your travel needs. The team is fantastic!

This was a well planned trip to Scotland. Nordic Visitor is very helpful and answered any questions and concerns that I had. The travel guide we had was awesome and the driver was fantastic. Everything fell into place as expected. I was able to see the important things in Scotland that everyone should visit when planning a trip there.

Highlights of Scotland small group tour was exceptional. Scotland land and seascapes were unforgettable - so much history and varied, outstanding views. Andy, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and also entertaining. What a storyteller! Dave, our bus driver, kept his coach and all travellers safe and comfortable. 

Our guide, Maya, was very knowledgeable about the areas we visited, personable, and genuinely kind. Our driver, John, was also wonderfully knowledgeable about the area and seemed to know people everywhere we went. Together they were a funny and impressive duo to show us around Scotland and I don't think there could have been better. Accommodations and food were amazing. Activities were great, although I would have loved to have done more in certain locations- a few, everything was closed while we were there or we lingered in some areas too long or too short. Overall, this tour was amazing and I will definitely recommend it to others.

Everything went smooth from hotels - lovely, food, to site seeing  David our tour guide was amazing so was wally our bus driver - I just wish drumbossie hotel was closer to town.

Our Tour Manager was very knowledgeable and friendly. The itinerary was a good mix of beautiful scenery and historical places. The hotels were all very comfortable and provided meals were vegetarian friendly. 

Nordic is awesome. We travelled to Dublin and joined a fun small group (14 plus Mary, our guide). Our transfers went off without a hitch. Mary was informed and took care of everyone. We then fly to Scotland where we were driven by Pete, our driver and guide. Again, an outstanding guide and driver.

Accommodations were great! The ferry inn had the best food. The whispering pines had the best rooms and views. The skye lodge had the best beds and hospitality. The driving tour was the best way to see Scotland because the scenery is amazing.

I enjoyed using Nordic Visitor as our event planner. I would recommend Nordic to anyone using how we planned our trip (and have already done so).

Magdalena provided us with wonderful insight, exceptionally clear documents, a map that was easy to read, a great rental car experience, and overall fabulous accommodations.

Duncan did a fabulous job planning our Scotland trip. We loved our lodging places and suggested sites to visit, especially since we're Outlander fans!

Jana, our travel consultant, was very responsive and helpful both before and during the trip. The information provided in the itinerary and the detailed map was very helpful. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. This was our first self-driving tour and it made the planning so much easier- no searching and booking accommodations!

Nordic Visitor staff was extremely helpful, even when the airline delayed our flight into Scotland by two full days. The quick adjustments and flexibility were a lifesaver!

The tour was great. We booked a self drive and everything we had per-booked, from hotels to car rentals and excursions was handled without worries. Magda did a great job answering all our questions prior to our arrival and Chris was able to modify our itinerary when we arrived late due to a flight cancellation. All the hotels and B&Bs were outstanding. This is the second time we have used Nordic Visitor and will do so again.

We chose a 14 day tour to visit the highlands and try some hiking. Isle of Skye was the best for this. There are a fair number of single track roads there but it works well. It was cold and a bit rainy of course and got really hot at the end so you need to pack for all conditions.

It was very good no complaints at all.

I am blown away with how easy and insightful Nordic Visitor was in planning & executing my 14 day self trip to Scotland. It was my lifetime dream. Travel Consultant, Jana, truly went above and beyond for me. I was quite overwhelmed with excitement yet clueless as to how to make the most of my first overseas trip. I was unclear how/where to begin. Jana made all accommodations & reserved car. Even calmed me when I became nervous about driving, advised me on restaurants and experiences, and had a driver there to help upon arrival and departure. I would have missed out on so much had it not been for Jana and her team at Nordic Visitor. I left my heart in Orkney! I could never do it without them. Can't thank her enough. Where to next Jana?

I had read through a lot of the reviews before booking with Nordic. I picked them because of their excellent reviews and I'm happy I did! Chris, our travel consultant was excellent! He was so nice and helpful. We had paid for the private transport to and from the hotel/airport and Sean was our driver. He was so nice/ friendly and informative. The accommodations were all lovely! The hosts were so nice and welcoming.The rental car service was excellent as well, again nothing but friendly service. We had booked ahead of time was the Lochness cruise, do it! It was fun, then we booked other activities the night before as we planned our events and travel for the day. We had an amazing holiday and would book again through Nordic!

Communications with our Travel Consultant Chris by email was easy. After our tour info was received Chris quickly customized our tour as we requested. All hotels were clean and convenient and included delicious breakfasts. Car rental process was worry free, activities were "best of" highlights for the area, making our travel a lovely adventure!

This is our second trip with Nordic Visitor and it won't be our last. Both have been self-drive adventures. What we truly appreciate is knowing that after a long day of traveling we will arrive at a lovely guest house that has great food, clean and comfortable rooms and warm hospitality. NV provides a helpful map and itinerary of activities catered to our interests...how nice to be able to find the local yarn shop--sometimes next door to our guest house! They also pointed out when we should prebook some attractions. This last trip we were particularly thankful for all of the logistics regarding the many ferries that we had to use. Communication was easy and fast before and during our trip. Can't wait to start planning our third trip!

Well organized tour. Great balance of history, culture and nature.

This tour exceeded my expectations of a small group tour. The entire trip was well organized beginning with the transfer from the airport. The hotel accommodations, meals, daily itineraries were all 5 star. The tour guide, Barbara, was a wealth of historical information and very funny, as was the driver, John. She made the daily road trips interesting and the laughs made it enjoyable. Barbara also played Scottish music as we traversed the Highlands - background music appropriate for the amazing scenery going by. During one of our hotel dinners, John arrived in Highland dress as did Barbara, which was quite charming and appreciated by all. My daughter and I had a wonderful time and having a week of sunny skies made for some beautiful pictures. We would not hesitate to use Nordic Visitor again.

Duncan was extremely helpful responding to all my questions and providing suggestions on all the areas I asked about. Everything on the 10-day u-drive trip was exactly what we needed and expected from the accommodations to the rental and the ferry connections. A full list of activities and places to visit with a well laid out route to see as much as possible in our stay. Overall everything was excellent!

We have recently returned from our Express tour of Scotland. The itinerary prepared by our consultant Eve from Nordic Visitor included everything down to the map of the area, vouchers for the accommodation and car hire and suggested sightseeing activities (which was extensive and we managed to visit 95% without disappointment!). The whole experience in booking the tour with Eve was seamless and far exceeded our expectations! The accommodation chosen for us was perfect 4-5 star and we look forward to using Nordic Visitor for our next trip!

The self-guided package allowed us to make the best of our vacation to Scotland. The accommodation were outstanding, as was the includedd breakfast. Having the rental car taken care of made things easy as well, especially since we are from out of country. The drop off/pick up from the airport was also well worth the money, as opposed to finding a cab or using a rideshare service. One of the best aspects of using Nordic Visitor was the welcome packet, which had everything from suggestions on eateries to suggested destinations. The best part of the destination recommendations was how inclusive it was. There was everything from standard tourist activities to off the beaten path hiking suggestions. Would absolutely use this service again. It would be even better if flights were included as an option as well.

We had a lovely time in Scotland. Dave, our guide, was fabulous and provided an experience that we will not soon forget. The locations we stayed at were lovely, the food was really great (haggis was surprisingly good) and it was an experience we will not soon forget. We do wish we had known to what extent we needed waterproofs.

Jana provided prompt responses to my queries. As my first time using overseas tour operator, it was a very pleasant experience.

Nordic Visitor was great. Unfortunately they cannot control the weather in the Scottish Highlands, which was deplorable in the first week of October.

We are very pleased with the service provided by Nordic Visitor. All the arrangements were excellent and very comfortable. Our agent also provided us with great ideas as we travelled through Scotland. Each day's itinerary was comfortable allowing ample time for sightseeing stops as we moved to our next accommodation. Things could not have gone any smoother.

We love Nordic Visitor. We have travelled to Norway, Iceland and now Scotland using Nordic Visitor and we will use Nordic Visitor again for future trips. The hotels/guest houses were very nice, comfortable and convenient. Picking up/dropping off our car was straightforward. A personal connection was established with our agent. The tour packet was filled with great information. We certainly covered a lot of the beautiful country. The Highlands were amazing! Great, quick response to an after-hours question on the last day of our tour!

The itinerary Rebecca set up for us included all of the sites we told her we wanted to see. It was very orderly so we weren't backtracking. She also included places "along the way" that we might want to check out. All of the documentation she emailed to us was clear and easy to follow. The rental car had an awesome GPS which we depended on.

Our overall experience was good. Our travel consultant, Chris was excellent and prompt in responding to emails with answers to questions and gave us some great suggestions, prior to booking our trip. All of our trip correspondence was done by email and it worked out great, because Chris was so quick and prompt in getting back with me on every detail of our trip. Once arriving in Scotland, our travel documents and vouchers were waiting on us at our hotel, with the details and suggestions to start our 10-day tour, with 6 of those days driving around the country and 4 in Edinburgh. The only thing that was an issue for us was that a few of our lodging accommodation were without air conditioning, which we were not accustomed to that, but we managed. Overall, Nordic Visitor met our expectations, and I would use their service again for future travels. Scotland is a beautiful place, with so much history. We had a great time!

So very glad we chose Nordic Visitor! The tour guides for Scotland and Ireland were amazing! They shared facts and interesting information about the country and towns we visited, added extra tidbits and trivia that enhanced our experience. Made suggestions for local entertainment, music and shows, which added so much fun for our group. I never thought having an experienced driver and tour guide would add so much to our experience and eliminate so much stress to a vacation but it was well worth it! Transportation was perfect and comfortable for 8 adults too.

This is our second vacation with Nordic Visitor and we loved it. Chris was really helpful in working with us to select a self-guiding tour that best matched up with our interests. The hotels were lovely and, despite some rainy days, itineraries for each day were great.

We booked a 7-day private tour for our group of five. From the limousine service to the hotel staff, we were never unsure about where to be or if we had questions, they were answered. Our tour guide Ross was absolutely fantastic! He knew everything about all of Scotland and really catered our tour to what we wanted. Ross even made a few special side trips when we mentioned the Highland cows and a specific pub we had heard about. He had a great wealth of knowledge of the history and told many fantastic legends along the way. He even had a music playlist to suit specific sights. He really made the trip extra special. We will never forget it.

I traveled with my spouse and other family and friends. The people on the tour that I did not know were friendly and shared similar interests. Our driver, Tim, was excellent, offering additional information at times to what our guide was saying. The two of them interacted well, and made for an overall pleasant experience.

This is our second tour with Nordic Visitor. Agents used before the tour were always very prompt with responses to our questions. During the tour, we found the accommodation perfect, guide very informative and friendly, and the driver got used to where we needed to go without any problems. We would definitely use Nordic Visitor again!

Our guide was both knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the history of the places we visited. He kept me and my brother both interested and entertained. Tour guide Dan was appropriately concerned about my safety as I use a cane and have some balance issues. However, he accepted my assurance that I could navigate the paths and I appreciated that respect. Requests at hotels (for non-slip bath mats and extra blankets) were always fulfilled without difficulty.

We were very pleased with the service and product offered by Nordic Visitor. Chris, our travel cosultant, was very attentive. Our actual guides, Peter and Caralina, were excellent. Nordic Visitor may not be the cheapest, but they did deliver, as promised.

Wonderful time, the beautiful scenery was spectacular. The hotel on the Isle of Skye was not the best. The driver Tim and tour guide Nick were great! Very funny and went out of their way to give us a great experience! Would love to see an Outlander tour of Scotland.

It was an amazing trip! My husband and I took the Highlights of Scotland tour in July and had a wonderful time! Our tour guide, Andy, was amazing. His knowledge of Scotland was top notch and kept us informed throughout the entire tour. Andy educated us on Scotland history, shared delightful stories and enlightened us with Scottish culture. The accommodation were all so nice. Each one a bit different, but comfortable and lovely. Each place had helpful and respectful staff. Our bus was very comfortable, lots of room and great windows for the amazing views of Scottish scenery. The drivers were great. So glad they were driving us around the country.

Overall experience was excellent. Great educational and cultural understanding opportunity for both the two adults and 18-year-old grand-daughter in this party. We attribute all the unexpectedly high level of service we received to our association with a Nordic Visitor.

We were supposed to travel in 2020, but obviously that didn't happen due to Covid. Nordic Visitor gave us a voucher plus 15% to use within the next 4 years. We travelled to Scotland in June of 2023. Duncan was top-notch. Handled everything flawlessly. The day we were to leave, our flight got cancelled. The next flight was in 2 days. He moved our first 2 days to the end so nothing else was disrupted. Very helpful. Would highly recommend.

This was our first travel outside of North America and we loved every day! We toured around Scotland, starting in Edinburgh, to the Highlands, Isle of Skye and finishing in Glasgow. It was a busy tour, and we didn't see all of Scotland, but we saw so many interesting places, met a lot of wonderful people, ate haggis, drank whisky and had such a fantastic time that we did not want to leave. We are already saving for our next trip!

We chose the lower of two tiers of accommodations. For the most part, they met our expectations: the rooms were quite small, but clean, staff at the places we stayed were friendly, and it was convenient not to have to go elsewhere for breakfast each day. The information booklet provided by Nordic Tours was helpful. The highlight of our journey was our guide. Gary was top-notch, and everything one could ask for: friendly, knowledgable, efficient, and a skilled navigator and driver. On many occasions, he helped us rearrange our plans on-the-fly, suggesting that we visit other sites or in a different sequence than originally planned, which made better use of our limited time.

All our expectations were exceedingly surpassed! Everyone at Nordic Visitor, especially our guide, went above and beyond to make our adventure one that will be long remembered.

Eve was wonderful!

We did a self-drive tour including the Orkney islands. The entire process from booking to flying home was seamless. Our accommodation was all amazing, especially the B&Bs. Our daily itineraries were great starting points for activities, and none of our days felt rushed or slow. We also appreciated the restaurant and travel guides. Scotland is amazing, and Nordic Visitor made the entire vacation worry-free.

The tour package materials were top notch. Spiral bound itinerary, recommended activities, restaurant recommendations and the large-scale road map of Scotland were a nice touch. Magdalena, our Nordic Visitor representative, responded promptly to our questions. Accomodation was all great.

As first-time visitors to Edinburgh, and senior citizens, our choice to use Nordic Visitor was an excellent one. The welcome package we received at the hotel was really helpful, with our tour vouchers, maps and restaurant recommendations. We would not have known what hotel to select and the one selected for us was perfect. The choice of tours offered was perfect for a 5-day visit. So glad to learn about the Royal Mile and visit the castle. The trip through the Highlands and Loch Ness was beautiful. Our experience with Nordic Visitor could not have been better! We were impressed with Magda and the team there from the very beginning. Every question was answered quickly and thoroughly. Once we arrived, we were very impressed with our visitor packet and all its contents. Each day was outlined, including options for sightseeing and attractions along the way. I would definitely use Nordic Visitor again. While travelling we sometimes ran into other travellers also using Nordic Visitor and we all agreed we were very happy with our experience. The accommodation provided was all wonderful, with the exception of one which was too tiny. But most were terrific. Probably what impressed me most was the agency's handling of a situation beyond their control. Once they heard, they made new arrangements. No muss - no fuss - no stress.

Our private tour guide, Pete, was phenomenal, and all of our accommodation was great! My husband is disabled and Nordic Visitor took every needed step to ensure our B&Bs could take care of his needs.

Our experience was great, from prior to booking on through to the actual tour. Duncan took care of all of our questions and added an Underground Vaults tour for us at time of booking. We received all of our details in an email prior to trip, and a welcome bag was waiting at our hotel upon arrival with everything we needed. It was an awesome private tour that my husband and I will remember always. Our tour guide, Pete, was awesome and took very good care of us along the way until we finished the tour and were taken back to Edinburgh. He was like a member of our family by the time the tour was over and we hated to say goodbye to him. We thank Nordic Visitor, Duncan and Pete for memories we will never forget.

I loved having everything mapped out for us, especially because it was our first trip to Scotland.

This was an amazing trip! I can't say enough about the care and detail that went into the planning, the itinerary, the maps, everything! All of the accommodation was perfect (with one exception). Having a car with GPS made getting around so easy (especially when I missed an exit on a roundabout). I would not hesitate to use Nordic Visitor again for a memorable vacation.

The accommodation was all very good and the people very friendly. The route could have been a little better defined as well as certain sights that should be seen.

Our tour encountered a road block on our way to cross the bridge to Skye. The tour guide, Barbara, handled the situation of finding an alternative route to get to Skye safely very calmly and professionally. Tim, our driver, likewise was very professional and calm during this situation. I was very impressed with how he drove the van over some narrow and steep roads to get to the alternate ferry, so we could continue to our accommodation on Skye. It was a long day for both of them but they handled the situation very calmly.

Great tour! Just the right amount of activities. Rooms and meals were excellent, guide and driver were entertaining and professional. Coach was comfortable and modern. Overall a fantastic experience!

We were very impressed with our guide. Best part of the tour as he was extremely knowledgeable. Travel was easy, timely and clean. Not a lot of vegetarian options for dinner.

I loved that the option for a self-guided tour was there, but we could also customise things. We didn't have to follow the timeline of anyone else and could explore what/when we wanted, while having guidance and recommendations from experts.

We booked a 4-day Christmas Tour of Edinburgh which included hotel accommodation, a walking tour of the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle, a day tour of the Highlands and Lowlands, castles, and lochs, and also a whisky distillery tour. The hotel was in an amazing location near the Christmas Markets and popular attractions. The day tours were such a wonderful way to experience the countryside outside of Edinburgh. We also added a driving service to drive us to and from the airport and the drivers were so lovely. The care package left at the hotel consisting of maps and suggested eateries was such a delightful bonus. We loved that every aspect of our trip was planned and ready for us once we arrived which diminished any travel stress that one may experience when travelling abroad.

Eve had arranged everything! Maps and points of interest were highlighted, vouchers all arranged, Historic Scotland passes were widely used. I was used to manually arranging details for a trip, but Eve took care of it all, so we could just enjoy the experience. She even arranged for champagne at 2 of the stops for our anniversary!

You can pick a package that they offer, and either go directly by it, or you can change it up a bit to accommodate your needs and experience! Eve set up my tour, she is absolutely amazing! This tour was a much needed reprieve from my life at the time, and she helped make it all possible! I spent a month on a self-drive tour, and didn't have to stress about any of the accommodation. I knew in advance and in detail what I could, or would do everyday. This trip was everything I wanted and needed to enjoy beautiful Scotland!

They were able to accommodate our request for an extra day at the start of the trip and to end the tour in Glasgow instead of Edinburgh.

The overall tour was more than we could have expected. We both had a wonderful time and enjoyed the places and people we met and interacted with. Our hosts were all so wonderful! And so was the car hire; we were very happy with everything! The only thing we would have changed is the timing of receiving the booking information. We like to try and plan well in advance when travelling and wish we could have had this information sooner. This is my first time travelling with Nordic Visitor. I felt fully prepared and ready for the trip due to the information and details I was provided with prior to travelling. It was easy to communicate with my tour rep and get all of my questions answered in a timely fashion. If I had travelled on my own, I never would have been able to do and see everything I did on the trip. As a solo traveller, I felt safe and comfortable in a small group. A tour has its pros and cons though - lots of driving and time on a mini-bus, being on a schedule with little to no flexibility, and being with strangers you do not get to pick. However, having a professional tour guide share information, take us to great and local spots to eat, and re-arrange the itinerary when it was not feasible, was worth it! My guide really made this trip memorable!

We had a wonderful time touring Scotland. Our guide was fabulous; knowledgeable and witty (and a good driver over "dodgy" roads). Also enjoyed tales from Brian our second guide. Overnight accommodation were first rate, food was varied and delicious. Enjoyed the remoteness of several places, hotel downtown Inverness not so much.

Nordic Visitor did an amazing job of eliminating all of the leg work before our three-week road trip around Scotland. They booked all of the hotels and ferries, secured our Historic Scotland passes, and provided detailed recommendations for restaurants, tours, and activities in every single destination on our tour. The biggest complication of our trip was that we needed three rooms in each overnight destination to accommodate a family of five. Nordic Visitor made easy work of this and I was extremely impressed by the results. Rebecca, our personal concierge, was incredibly thoughtful and accommodating, and was extremely helpful in assisting us before and during our visit. I would definitely use Nordic Visitor for future travels and highly recommend them to others.

My travel consultant, Rebecca, was very friendly, efficient and helpful. She always responded to my emails promptly. She even noticed that a flight I was booked on was cancelled before I had a chance to email her with the change. I was so impressed with the service provided that I am contemplating another trip to Scotland for next year. The tour guides (we had two) were excellent. When the weather made it difficult to do something on the itinerary they came up with an alternative that was equally as interesting.

Having used another tour company for Ireland and England just before this section of our trip I can say with one hundred percent truth that your information and documents were excellent! When we saw a paper map was included and daily ideas for the itinerary we were so happy. We didn't need electricity or wifi, we could just look at the map! An overall view like that was so much easier to use.

We are thankful we went with Nordic Visitor for our tour of Scotland. We were at each location one hour before all of the tour buses because we had our own car and could get around quicker. More customizable and a more fun adventure.

This was the first time we had used this type of service as we usually do all our travel planning and bookings ourselves. It took the stress and worry out of our trip and so we had a much improved experience of 'drive yourself'. We found we could relax and enjoy our holiday and we maximised our time in country. Nordic appear to be professional, aware of the best locations to visit and stay. The suggested tour is well balanced between places to see and covering the distance. We were very impressed with the standard of accommodation given that we only booked "standard".

The self-drive tour was wonderful for us. It meant that we did not have to plan ourselves, and were advised of the best things to see along the way. However we still had the freedom to chose other things. All the accommodation was fantastic. Friendly welcoming staff/hosts and great food.

We recently visited Scotland using Nordic Visitor’s Classic Scotland drive yourself tour, and I wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed it. All of the hotels were wonderful, and the staff was so nice. Everything was in order, and there were no glitches with any of our reservations. We especially loved the travel guide — the itineraries were well laid out and we made good use of the suggested highlights and optional activities. We will definitely recommend Nordic Visitor to any friends who may be considering this type of trip.

We had an amazing trip! It was so well curated! All of the destinations were thoughtful both in terms of location and distance traveled during the day. The sightseeing suggestions in the tour guide were excellent. The hotels and guest houses were all wonderful - comfortable and full of character. Oh my gosh! We had the BEST time, and Maria did an all around FABULOUS job!  All the hotels were very nice, clean, comfortable and had lovely views!..I appreciated that all hotels had a tea kettle in the room to make hot water, and nice hair dryers.

We really enjoyed the book that you put together for our trip with suggested sites. It was very helpful. If it only came with a time management button it would be incredible, haha! We totally missed the sights in Inverness because we spent too much time at a castle and then things were closed. Maybe including hours of sites would be helpful. We did get better as we went!

The North Link ferry was so fun. This was a wonderful experience, with a restaurant, observation decks, a store, comfy chairs....Etc. Going to Orkney Island was so worth it; actually one of our favorite places, along with the Highlands, Glencoe area, Edinburgh castle....maybe we have too many favorites..) 

For food, it was interesting. We found great restaurants (Rollo and the Smoo Cave Hotel restaurant come to mind as delicious!), and luckily we stopped at a grocery store several times for easy food to be able to eat whenever.

As far as driving, it was fine and nice to be on our schedule. The single track roads in the highlands worked out fine... We drove 1,235 miles, saw wonderful sites, hiked amazing places, took thousands of pics and couldn't be more thrilled with everything that Nordic Visitor planned and prepared for us! We have several people that were interested in our opinion after our trip, and we will certainly be giving Nordic Visitor a fabulous endorsement, and Maria of course! Thank you so much for an unforgettable epic trip!

We had a fabulous trip in Scotland thanks to Nordic Visitor! Our guide John and driver John were amazing, taking time to give us history, cultural and local perspectives. They both had excellent senses of humor and abundant patience with our group. The hotels were very welcoming and comfortable. We were able to spend time meeting local people and sharing a dram of whisky and many laughs. Nordic was very responsive both before and during our trip to answer our questions and arranging last minute transportation.

Tour guide was extremely knowledgeable & the accommodations & meals at the hotels were very good.

The tour guides in Scotland and Ireland were the best. They gave us historical information about each area or stop and shared personal stories which made it better. They both were very professional and had great senses of humor. They answered our many questions or found the answers. They helped us register in each hotel and found great restaurants for us. When we had any minor problems, they helped us solve the issue. Our drivers did a professional job getting us to each tour site or hotel safely and efficiently. Our tour group was great. We bonded quickly and we made lifelong friends.The only recommendation I would make is to avoid hotels without a lift. Older travelers have a harder time climbing stairs with heavy luggage.

Our Scotland/Ireland tour was everything we hoped for. Michelle at Nortic was so helpful with everything we needed from planning our perfect trip to making changes along the way when needed.

The tour was amazing from the get go. Starting with Magadelena. Very organized without overloading with emails. Tour guide Dave made our trip magical with his knowledge, fun spirit and kept us moving. We did have two nights in Isle of Sky hotel and both nights had no hot water. That was the only negative, however the food prepared for us there made up for it- amazing food. John, our driver, was professional, comical, and we all loved him. This is a great tour -moving us all over Scotland. I would take another Nordic visitor tour on our next trip to Europe. Great job with this company. But Dave, our kilt wearing tour guide, was the star of this tour. We thank the whole professional team at Nordic Visitor.

Nordic Visitor took the stress out of planning our holiday by doing it all for us and personalising to our needs. Michelle and her team in the Edinburgh office were easy to communicate with despite being on the other side of the world from us. The 29 days went without a hitch. The accommodation varied but had obviously being carefully considered.

We took the Wonders of Scotland Tour 7days/6nights.Our travel consultant , Laurie provided necessary information and answered questions promptly. The tour itself visited many of the beautiful spots in Scotland. Our tour guide Barbara and driver John were excellent. Provided a fun and meaningful tour. The tour was busy, but as described in the itinerary. Our vehicle was very comfortable , clean, and new.Overall I found the accommodations to be very good. Meals provided were good. Meals at Hame on Sky were amazing. This is my second tour with Nordic and I was not disappointed. We added additional days in Edinburgh and Glasgow which I strongly recommend.

Very professional, our tour guide was fabulous as was our driver. We made several stops each day to various sites, some noted in the itinerary and some not. The mini bus we had was very comfortable for travel. We always had a group breakfast and dinner which allowed us to get to know our fellow travelers better. There were always three choices (meat, fish, vegetarian) for dinner and meals were all very good. Breakfasts were either buffet or a selection from the breakfast menu. We had full days leaving our hotel at 9, and usually back between 5:30 and 6:00, leaving some time to freshen up before 7:00 dinner.

I very much enjoyed our tour of Scotland and Ireland. The tour guide was personable and knowledgeable. The van was comfortable. I appreciated being in a smaller group than other tours I have been on. The accommodations were top notch overall

My 2 sisters and I had a great vacation. All bed and breakfast accommodations were great. Owners were great. Hotels in Dublin adequate. Castle was over the top. Scotland was my favorite. Would definitely do again. Ireland I would do again but just countryside. Great trip!!!!

Our itinerary was perfect. We were taken to all the best destinations and had a wonderful trip. The accommodations were top notch and clean and comfortable. The food at most of the hotels and lodges was very good.

Magda, our personal travel consultant was great! She was thorough, responsive and patient. We had to cancel our trip for medical reasons and she and Vero made the rebooking easy. She was very accommodating and we enjoyed working with her. The Scotland Guide was great, with lots of detail of what we were going to see, and the map, which highlighted our route and the places we were staying was very helpful. Sometimes the day by day itinerary of what we could see was a bit aggressive and not realistic - things take longer and some days we had to forego some of the suggested stops/sights.

All the planning is done by Nordic Visitor and all you have to do is show up. It was a wonderful trip, amazing sites, beautiful accommodations and a funny, knowledgeable guide.

Maya and John were a perfect match and outstanding hosts! A lot of driving, so many beautiful things to see and experience. I would suggest it to anyone looking to see Scotland. 

This was the first organized tour we have taken. We were really impressed with the small group concept. We got to see so many more places than the big 50-person tour buses. The hotels were quaint and charming. Our guide Barbara was wonderful. She had a great grasp of everything about Scotland. The printed materials were excellent. The two scotch tastings were great. We enjoyed having haggis for breakfast.

Our guide, John, was great! Gave a mix of contemporary and historical information through the tour. 

Excellent forward planning, suggestions as to highlights and resteraunts and need for attraction reservations. Travel consulant (Chris) was superb: accomodating a myriad of pre trip questions and working overtime to sucessfully solve a ferry cancelation (weather) issue "on the fly, outside of business hours" so we didn't loose any vacation days. Excellent real-time followup and concern. Accomodations and breakfasts exceeded expectations. Map provided was well done but car GPS and Goodle maps essential for day to day planning as drive times in Scotland in no way correspond to mileage shown. Asked for a small car but agency provided a larger one which caused a lot of driving stress but this was rentlal company issue not a Nordic one.

We chose the 10 day Classic Scotland. although this is a tight schedule to cover the miles and sights to be seen there were side trips that we really wanted to see and do. Duncan our (guide) was very accommodating to adjust the tour to meet our expectations. Everything was arranged and pre-booked as expected and accommodations were very nice.

My Travel Consultant was very thorough and helpful with anything I needed. Everything was taken care of in terms of logistics (car rental, lodging) and the itinerary was filled with plenty of activities to do. I did not have one issue at all with my time in Scotland and will definitely be using Nordic in the future for any travel they offer to other various locations that interest me.

The pre-organisation was superb! upon our arrival in Edinburgh, everything was prepared and waiting for us at our hotel. This included a well marked map, excellent brochure of our itinerary, all the necessary vouchers and advice as to what could be 'added to' each day as we progressed around Scotland. We followed a route that gave us a wonderful variety of landscapes as well as some interesting accommodation options.

Our travel consultant, Eve was fantastic. From the first time we reached out to her, she explained everything in a clear and positive manner. That made us feel very comfortable. Our entire self- drive tour was layed out fabulously with all maps and directions on where and how to go. Accommodations were great. We can't thank Eve and the Nordic Visitor team enough, and would not hesitate to contact them again for future travel.

Great trip! Our consultant Duncan did a great job and everything worked flawlessly. We did the 9 day self-drive around Scotland, finishing up in time to go to the first 2 days of the British Open.

This was our 2nd tour with NV. Scotland was awesome. Accommodations were great. Nice that you pre reserved meals at Skye. But the real star was Stewart our tour driver!! He is a Super Star!! Great 2 weeks.

I worked with a personal travel consultant (Chris) who set up a wonderful trip for my party of six women. He customized a standard route to accommodate an additional overnight. He was professional, responsive, helpful, well-informed, and clear with his communication. Our rental van (Mercedes Vito) was large and comfortable, but not so daunting for the single-track roads we encountered. We were pleased with most of our accommodations - many with surprisingly large rooms and well-apportioned breakfasts. Although we planned our daily schedule on our own, Nordic Visitor provided the structure and handled the hard stuff for us. I would definitely travel with them again.

Chris was very easy to work with and extremely helpful and very prompt with any responses to questions. Our guide Jamie made the trip one to remember. He is extremely knowledgeable and very professional and personable.

All Nordic travel consultants were very knowledgeable, answered all of our questions and in a prompt timeframe. Very well planned trip and itinerary. The only issue we had was that the GPS sometimes did not take us where we input but that may have been an issue with the way we input addresses etc. Otherwise we were able to see most of what we set out to see. We would love to return to your country.

While we apprecciated the possible alternative driving routes highlighted on our map, the length of the driving days for the routes was very long. Anything over 4 to 4 1/2 hours of actual driving time left very little time for anything else that day, i.e., hiking, spending time in small towns, visiting museum, castles or other places of interest, stopping for lunch or afternoon tea or coffee, etc. Our suggestion would be to add a couple of more days to shorten the daily driving distances and times to make the overall tour less hurried and more enjoyable.

Great customer service from Rebecca (thank you Rebecca!) including immediate and helpful replies to emails/questions, super easy to use website, easy to book the trip, everything delivered exactly as represented, service providers (car service, rental car, ferries, accommodation) all were great and had our bookings and were expecting us with no issues at all. When one ferry crossing was cancelled due to bad weather we did not even know it had happened yet, but got a call and email from Nordic Visitor rep right away, and your team had already re-booked us on next ferry that was running. Now that is great customer care! We will absolutely use Nordic Visitor for future trips - we just wish you did trips in even more countries!

We found Nordic Visitor from online search in Australia. Our travel agent hadn't heard of the company, but we proceeded in any case as the self-drive tour was what we wanted. It turned out to be the best decision we had made. Chris was very helpful from day 1 of our contact, and was even able to adjust the self drive as we had already made plans for the Edinburgh portion. Chris even provided us with some suggested day options for the 5 days we had already booked. We met Chris in person in their offices and he was very helpful and explained any questions we had. Have and will continue to recommend this company for any travellers to the Nordic regions.

Loved our self-driving tour though Scotland - highly highly recommend and will definitely use again! One recommendation - it would have been helpful to get the restaurant guide before hand - as some of the smaller towns had limited availability. Overall, a seamless trip - especially with the stays - very easy to walk in and not have to fill out forms - other than what we wanted for breakfast, which was delicious everywhere we went! The Inns and B&Bs were fantastic - and the hosts - fabulous!! Also, really appreciated the quick re-booking when one of our inns was unavailable due to the innkeeper's illness - we got relocated (and I think upgraded) - again - seamless and worry-free. I have been raving about Nordic Visitor to my friends and family and will travel again with your group!

We enjoyed having the flexibility to go were we wanted without having to hurry to our next location. The food at our accommodations was very good and the staff were very friendly. We didn't receive our vouchers or mapped routes when we arrived and had to do a little of our own mapping and tour itinerary. Overall was a great experience and would recommend this service.

We enjoyed the tour, although it was very busy. I would prefer more 2 night stays. Packing up everyday gets old. I would probably choose a longer tour with not so much moving around.

Excellent tour. Anita was friendly, informative, funny, and professional. The fact that none of the hotels we stayed in (except the final hotel in Glasgow) had elevators was challenging and I wished I was made aware of this fact ahead of time. You all did mention that not all hotels had elevators, but I did not expect 4 out of 5 to be without lifts. The evening meals were great and offered our group a chance to get to know each other. I did wish we could have stopped at the Kelpies, but time seemed to be against us. More time in Glenfinnan and Glen Coe would have been nice as well. Culloden and the Loch Ness cruise were about right. Thank you Chris for all your planning for this trip.

Despite our limited mobility, Nordic Visitor created a wonderful experience for us.

Nordic Visitor had a good provider of the car. They took care of a flat tire, a major problem in the remote north of Scotland.

We couldn't fault Nordic Visitor on any detail. Our consultant, Rebecca, responded promptly to any queries we had during the booking process. The material provided for us on arrival in Edinburgh was great. The included tour itinerary, map, accommodation vouchers and restaurant suggestions were comprehensive and all we could have wished for.

Trip was well-planned and several helpful adjustments made for our travel needs. Travellers coming from the U.S. are going to still be tired from jetlag (especially after a day on foot in Edinburgh) on the first day renting a car. The adjustment and challenges of driving on the left-hand side in heavy urban or busy vacation travel was even more than we expected, so it is hard to make the first day itinerary and see much. We had added a day in the middle of Express Scotland and should have added one more near the beginning. A smaller rental car than one might think they need is recommended to better manage the many narrow city streets, rural single track roads with laybys, small parking areas, stone walls and hedges, lack of shoulders or potholed roads, and limited sight distances on winding roads. Smaller is better.

We had really great experiences with each B&B we stayed at but Gail at Dionard Guest House was especially lovely. If I were to go back I may stay there half the time then go back to the Isle of Skye for the rest of the time. It's just breathtaking there! Thank you Nordic Visitor!

It was truly excellent. It was so nice to not worry about much and to have things laid out beforehand with options. Duncan was so helpful when I asked questions about live music along our tour, pointing us in the direction of places to hear and find out about live music. It was also great to have a list of recommended restaurants from which to pick. It took a lot of the guesswork out of a very important part of our daily experience.

We loved Scotland and we felt the tour company provided us with a comfortable vehicle and very nice accommodation with some exceptions. We felt the itinerary could have been better. Originally our special requests for the itinerary (Harry Potter sites) were left out and had to be added. Also we found the information for some areas such as Glencoe wasn't sufficient. We had trouble with the directions on where to park and it wasn't easy finding restaurants in some areas (such as when we drove to the viaduct). We did find that Magda was very prompt and helpful at replying to questions and concerns. We really had a wonderful time and are glad we used Nordic Visitor, but the four of us agree that the things mentioned in this review could be improved on.

All in all we were very pleased with our trip. We would definitely use Nordic Visitor again.

Our tour was beyond our expectations. It was well-organised and our tour guide, Will, was excellent! He was outgoing, knowledgeable, friendly, and made our tour one to remember! All accommodation was fantastic, clean, neat and very well kept. The whole experience was fantastic from start to finish!

Nordic Visitor provided a Scottish adventure with a good variety of stops at historical and culturally significant locations. I enjoyed the scenery as we went along roads that the larger tour buses could not go. They also accurately worked in the timing to miss the large tours at the sites. I had several of the best meals that were included in the package. Save your time and effort and hire Nordic Visitor to plan your tour.

We booked the Highlands & Isle of Skye self-drive tour. Chris was extremely helpful in getting everything planned and kept us well-informed. All of the people we met were extremely friendly, courteous, and helpful. Our tour path enabled us to see just how beautiful of a country Scotland really is. We saw 13 castles, 4 old churches/cathedrals, 3 stone circles, dinosaur tracks and amazing landscapes. We would definitely do it again and are already recommending this trip to our friends and family.

We have utilised Nordic Visitor before for our Iceland trip. We were very pleased with the service provide to us.

Airport transfers were excellent. Drivers were on time and friendly. Accommodation was all good. You couldn't have paired our family with a better guide/driver than Dave. He made our Scotland experience so special by taking us off the beaten path and showing us some of the most beautiful natural sites and places in Scotland. We covered 1000 miles in distance in our 7 days. We learned so much from Dave.

The entire process was simple from start to finish. The recommended itinerary was excellent. The accommodation was uniformly excellent. Clearly, they had been well-researched and I would be happy staying at any of them again. The Nordic Visitor staff was a pleasure to work with.

Duncan (our travel consultant) and his team did a great job in organising the details of our itinerary and accommodating our last-minute requests for changes. The team helped us tremendously when we forgot a piece of our luggage and Duncan coordinated the posting of most of our belongings to the next B&B on our itinerary. The accommodation and their locations were mostly excellent.

Our rental car was fabulous and the process was easy to pick it up. We loved most of our hotels, but one or two were a bit more dated than what we had imagined.

Most of the hotels were amazing. The rooms were wonderful and the breakfasts were delicious.

We were overall pleased with the tour. It being our first visit to Scotland, it made the trip much easier to handle. Rebecca was very helpful and prompt with answering questions.

Overall it was very good. However, the itinerary was a bit too optimistic for the time allotted. Being from Canada we are accustomed to driving long hours to reach destinations. However, we were driving for many hours and due to road conditions not going far. I suggest adding additional days to the tour.

Andy was a very entertaining and informative guide and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour. The selection of sites that we visited was excellent, punctuated with plenty of rest stops and coffee breaks so we never felt rushed. The meals were very good and it was convenient that they were included in the tour package. Accommodation were always interesting and varied.

Highlights of Scotland was a great introductory tour - a fair amount of mini-coach travel but lots of opportunity for photos, history, context, and quick walks and climbs. Inverness and Isle of Skye were real highlights, as was Glen Coe. We had a great tour guide and drivers. I think our small tour group generally were really pleased. Andy was an outstanding tour guide - knowledgeable, entertaining, sociable, organised, and helpful in any possible way.

This was our second booking with Nordic Visitor. Our first was for Norway four years ago. We were so happy with the service then that we came back. We have recommended and given out Nordic Visitor's name to many friends.

We selected the Scottish Highlands & Isle of Skye self-drive tour and it was perfect for us. We liked that Nordic Visitor arranged hotels and the rental car for us, but we were free to pick what sights we wanted to see in between. This was actually a rescheduled trip from 2022 and the team made it so easy to transfer over our balance and reschedule. They were attentive to any upgrades/changes we wanted to make and made it so easy. Would 100% recommend using them.

We did a self drive tour with Nordic Visitor and we were not disappointed. Being able to pick and choose what we wanted to do made our trip special. Travelling through Scotland at our own timeframe allowed us to make our trip ours versus having to follow a group. The itinerary suggestions made by Nordic Visitor were very good. Their overall trip planning was exceptional.

I have used your service for an Iceland tour before with friends. This time it was for solo travel. I wanted to feel safe and have someone there to help me in case of emergency. Last but not least I wanted things to be planned in a new country that I might have spent hours but still could not have come up with, details that you guys have provided. We did an extended version of the "Grand Tour of Scotland". It was all we hoped for and everything went as smoothly as silk. All connections were accurate. Every accommodation was expecting us. All the people were wonderful. This was our first trip with a tour company. We usually make these plans ourselves but felt overwhelmed planning for a three-week trip. Nordic Visitor really helped us. We felt a high degree of personal attention to our questions and needs. The staff answered all of our questions during the process of developing the itinerary. We felt as though the staff had first hand experience with all the sites we intended to visit and shared their experiences. We communicated with Nordic Visitor entirely by email. Most replies to email required at least two days, however, the replies were always courteous and thorough and friendly and helpful.

We worked with Chris nine months prior to the trip. He made the process easy and returned emails in a timely manner. Everything he said would be provided was as he said. I highly recommend your company! The accommodations were wonderful, we loved everything! Excellent experience. The car was ready at the rental company, the car was excellent quality. We prefer a more leisurely pace so we added 4 days to the original tour so we could spend more time exploring instead of driving and packing up. Nordic Visitor took the hassle out of arranging accommodation and car rental.

The itinerary for this tour was well done but I do have to say our driver-guide made it all work. He had an exceptional knowledge of the country and constantly surprised us with interesting facts about Scotland, current and historical. I never feel that way when I travel with Nordic Visitor. Great spots to visit and great company. It was a wonderful trip.

We were thrilled with all of our accommodations. All hosts/hostesses were very friendly and we felt very welcomed. The rental car service was also very good and thorough. And we felt as though everyone had a good working relationship as the businesses had nothing but great words to say about Nordic Visitor so we felt good that everyone was working together to make our visit a great one!

My husband and I wanted to hire a car and travel extensively throughout northern Scotland which included the Orkney Islands, and the other beautiful islands in far northern Scotland. From the day we contacted Agne Dobrovolskyte at Nordic Visitor, everything ran as smoothly as clockwork! Agne knew exactly what we wanted;  all the Bed & Breakfast places she booked on our behalf right throughout Scotland were absolutely perfect, centrally located near all facilities, managed by wonderful, friendly hosts and included delicious, plentiful breakfasts. The car Agne booked for us was reliable and the perfect (compact) size to negotiate the narrow, single lane roads you frequently experience in northern Scotland (especially on the northern Scottish islands). Agne gave us the benefit of her experience of Scotland with wonderful suggestions on what to see and do - suggestions and advice that we were glad we followed. Everything Agne did and organised, made our road trip throughout the beautiful country of Scotland a wonderful and memorable experience. We went to explore family ancestry, I inquired with several different companies and Sarah was the only one to reply with information, and stops in the itinerary on the Clan Comyns. She did her homework to plan our trip.

I cannot say enough good things about Nordic Visitor. Information given was thorough, accommodations were very comfortable (very friendly hosts) and tourist sights suggestions were incredibly helpful. Agne did a wonderful job! We had the best time and experience, the self-drive tour was easy to follow and gave us enough structure to see a lot in a small amount of time but still gave us the freedom to explore at our own pace. The restaurant recommendations were really helpful and the places we stayed were so memorable and inviting. It was also great that we had the flexibility to add another day to Edinburgh at the beginning of the trip to explore. I'll highly recommend the tour agency.

Our trip to Scotland, was one of the most relaxing trips I have ever taken other than a cruise. All the details were taken care of and we didn't have to worry about anything. We were able to see and do everything at our own pace and didn't feel rushed to get anywhere. If we wanted to stop and take pictures, go on a hike or stop and shop in a town, we were able to because of the flexibility in our itinerary. The map that was provided was very detailed and easy to follow. All of the documents provided key details so there was never any confusion on where to go and when we needed to be there. We used the personal itinerary, highlights, and useful information like it was the Bible. The car rental was excellent and the car we received was brand new. The GPS in the rental car was a lifesaver on more than one occasion during our trip. We wouldn't have been able to see as much as we did without it. The hotels and guesthouses were very accommodating and provided excellent service. Everyone was very friendly and professional. The staff at the guesthouses and hotels were very knowledgeable and were able to answer any questions we had about the area where we were staying. Overall, it was the best trip we ever could've imagined. We were a little nervous because it was our very first trip to Europe but because everything went smoothly, we can't wait to go again! We would recommend Nordic Visitor to anyone and will most likely be booking another trip with your company as soon as we are able to. The total holiday package was just what we asked for and more besides.

Brian was an exceptional tour guide. He was informative, entertaining, got us where we needed to go safe and on time...and brought us to some extra sights along the way. His local insights were invaluable. Singing "Oh What A Beautiful Morning" every day when we got on the bus started the day off just right. I truly can't express how much we enjoyed this tour and I think a lot of that can be attributed to Brian.

Annie was perfection from the time we booked the tour and the maps and materials sent to us prior to departure were great. Being a vegan, I am used to "making due" with salads or whatever I can cajole the chef/cook to make me while traveling and often rely on protein bars, etc. The food on this trip was exceptional, and many of our trip mates where jealous of my meals. This pleasant surprise certainly took this trip to an entirely new level for me. The small group, the wonderful sights, the grand itinerary, the superb lodgings. Everything was enjoyable....truly.

Excellent personalized service, detailed information, availability of my consultant (via phone call or email); Your travel offer is just great, with many options for itineraries but even more important for me, the option of self-drive, that is traveling on my own terms more easily and effectively.

All of the hotels were perfect! It was a pleasure to work with Annie. She made arrangements for an extra 5 night stay. We had a wonderful trip thanks to her. We couldn't have done the driving without the GPS in the rental car.

The guest houses were all fantastic and were gems that we would not have known about had we booked on our own.   Another nice element was that the car rental had 100% fully inclusive insurance-  that was a huge benefit and much appreciated.  Have already recommended NV once from our Iceland trip, (which generated a booking for you!) and will absolutely recommend again.  Christoph was also wonderful-  did a fantastic job in customizing the trip for us (comb of 2 trips), and was also quick to respond and communicate via email.  We will definitely book again- the only negative is that the time went by too quickly!

I had a very positive experience with your company.  Christoph was extremely user-friendly in terms of dealing with the one-off aspects of my travel (such as bad-timing associated with being in Edinburgh the same time as the marathon was being run there).  I tend not to like organized travel companies since in their efforts to come up with an itinerary that is one-size-fits-all, they tend to recommend the most common/touristy sites and don't provide sufficient opportunity to check out more off-the-beaten path destinations.  That was not a problem at all with Nordic Visitor.  I am a very satisfied customer and only wish that you provided service in destinations I am more likely to visit in the future!

We were pleasantly surprised at the high level of our accommodations. We asked for an upgrade of a guaranteed ensuite, and all the hotels were of the highest standard. The map with the highlighted tour and places to stop and see was very useful. The pickup and drop-off service was well worth the extra expense. The drivers were very knowledgeable and courteous. What a wonderful way to start and end the trip. We needed the emergency number when we were boarding the ferry. It was reassuring to have Nordic Visitor quickly resolve our registration problem.

Just wanted to say we had a really lovely time on our 'grand tour' of the Highlands and Islands. We hadn't realised how many mountains Scotland had! And how beautiful the scenery. All our accommodation was great. Thanks for organising it.

Our travel consultant set the itinerary up seamlessly. The travel guide and driver were both fantastic. Was a small group and they did their best to keep everybody engaged. Accommodations were comfortable, clean. Meals were great.

My husband and I took the 10 day small group tour of Scotland and throughly enjoyed it. We found the tour was very well organised, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and our driver added a definitely 'Scottish' flavour to the tour. We especially liked that we were able to enjoy a leisurely breakfast and board our bus around 9-9:30am. The hotels were four star or better the most part. The meals included were excellent although I would suggest that you ask your guests if they have any diabetic requirements (my husband is diabetic and found the amount of carbs somewhat lacking on several occasions). The pace of the tour allowed for lots of breaks and chances to stretch our legs and thoroughly enjoy the scenery. Have recommended you.

Michelle was our consultant. She did a fabulous job! She responded quickly with any questions and was always willing to help! Our accommodations were great and hosts were all lovely. As we were on a self driving tour our activities were up to us but as always, Michelle helped book when needed. We were very very pleased with our trip to Scotland and Ireland. This was a fantastic tour. Duncan, our travel consultant, was helpful with questions and changes.  Barbara, our tour guide, was so fun and knowledgeable. Jim, our driver, was fun and also safe.  The hotels were comfortable, the food was great (they were able to accommodate my allergies), and we got to see so much of Scotland. I would recommend! I would also book another trip with Nordic Visitor if I knew Barbara was our tour guide. She's that good.

It is a really good experience. Got the best group. Berry our guide was amazing. The bus and drivers incredible. The only I would say is that some hotels are old and dont have elevetors.

Nordic Visitor was very helpful and easy to deal with, even though we were engaging from NZ, on the other side of the world. Duncan sorted everything without any fuss, which we simply could not have done remotely. All communications were clear and prompt. The information package arrived with plenty of time to absorb and ask questions (if we had any). Everything on the schedule went like clockwork, with Duncan advising a change in ferry timetable as soon as it happened, ensuring we did not waste any time. The accommodation was (mostly) good, noting that some locations were pretty tight. The recommendations for activities and points of interest were great - local knowledge gave us experiences we might otherwise have missed.

Our agent (Jana) was terrific to work with and very flexible.

Our tour started in Edinburgh, then to Orkney Islands, Glasgow, Dublin around Ireland back to Dublin . 22nd of May until 16th of June. Everything we needed was handed to us at our accommodation in Edinburgh. We booked an extra day in Edinburgh to look around the city.

For people who want to see a lot of sights in a short period of time, the Wonders of Scotland tour is for you. The only downfall is there is not a lot of time to explore the towns we drive through other than a quick lunch. The tour helped us figure out locations we would like to come back to and explore more deeply in the future.

The Wonders of Scotland tour was above and beyond my expectations - everything was as described and then some. Kirsten in the central office was easy to work with, answered all my questions and was so helpful. The tour guide, Dan, was an expert in his knowledge of each site that we visited and in local lore and customs. Our driver, John, was a gem. We had such a great trip in Scotland. Our travel consultant, Duncan was so patient with us in putting the trip together for us and was very responsive when we had any questions or concerns. We took the 14 day self-driving tour of Scotland with 2 extra days in Edinburgh at the end. Picking up and returning the rental car was very easy. We enjoyed the sightseeing suggestions offed in our documents even though we didn't make all of them. Enjoyed our celebratory bubbly on our arrival! We were notified of our cancelled ferry in plenty of time. No problems at all. We are very happy that we chose Nordic Visitor.

The tour was well organised and the itinerary recommendations and site guide were great references but also left us freedom to customise on our own, although the rain "dampened" (pun intended) the experience.

While we had difficulties with the air travel arriving at our beginning destination, correspondence with the Nordic Visitor agents went smoothly allowing us to re-arrange the pre-booked airport shuttle to accommodate our altered arrival time.

Everything was taken care of and the itinerary was excellent. We followed the itinerary each day and found that it was perfect for taking in the sights that we would have wanted to see. The pace of travel was good, and the places outlined in the itinerary were great!

The organisation done for us was impeccable. Everything was booked and prepared for us without a hitch. We knew we would be using ferries to hop from island to island, and the tour itinerary was very helpful to make sure we got where we needed to be, when we needed to.

We had such a lovely time touring Scotland; everything was well thought out and all of the details were handled for us (hotels, routes, things of interests and even recommendations of places to eat). We only had one oops at the car rental - they had up graded us to a BMW, which wouldn't hold all our suitcases in the trunk. They did find us a different car and after a slight delay we were on our way. We enjoyed the driving, although somewhat harrowing for my husband, the driver. The scenery was magnificent, even in the rain.

Duncan, our travel consultant, was very helpful and efficient with all the adjustments I wanted to make to the 8 days Classic Tour. He also chose the right driver/guide for us. The tour was wonderful and corresponding to our indiviual pace. The hotels were very good and he had made dinner reservations, what I wouldn't have expected to be necessary. Everything went smoothly.

We thoroughly enjoyed our self-driving tour of Scotland coordinated by Nordic Visitor. It was very helpful to have the itinerary laid out for us and all of the accommodation arranged ahead of time, while still leaving us the flexibility to use our time in the various locations as we desired. We really feel that we had an excellent overview of all that Scotland has to offer, and were even able to take in a day of Highland Games during our trip (a definite highlight if you can make it work!).

I was a little nervous about how long it took to get the complete booking information, but once we were there and doing the tour I saw why! It was so well-put-together.

We had the trip of a lifetime through Nordic Visitor. Kristen planned every detail with such care that we felt stress-free on our trip. Everything from our rental car to each accommodation we stayed in. Every location was stunning and the rooms were perfect with such amazing views. The personalised map with our trip marked out was such an amazing touch which we will keep. The detailed itinerary was very helpful when deciding what we were going to see each day. I cannot say enough about how great our experience was with Nordic Visitor - everything was perfectly planned. It really was an incredible experience and I cannot wait to book another trip through them.

This was my first overseas trip in a long time, so some anxiety about all the changes in the travel world. As I described to a friend, it was like summer camp for adults in that everything was taken care of, leaving me to relax and enjoy Scotland. I loved the size of the group we travelled with who were all kind, excited and fun to be with. The weather cooperated nicely! In hindsight I would have enjoyed a guided tour of Edinburgh before we set off. All in all a delightful trip, well organised and comfortable. Thank you.

Our airport transfer was absolutely incredible and we loved all of our tours. We had two accommodation choices that were less than stellar, but that didn't put a dampner on our trip. This was my 2nd Nordic Visitor vacation, and you really make it so easy! We had a great time and will continue to use Nordic Visitor in our future travels.

We had both a driver for the tour and 3 extra days in Edinburgh. The driver, Danny, was on time, courteous and knowledgeable. He allowed for changes in the itinerary without a problem. All services provided by Nordic Visitor were excellent, as was all the accommodation.

The ease of just turning up and enjoying ourselves was fabulous. Pretty much everything was catered for. Overall, all stays were amazing. The travel was well-calculated for each day, also allowing us to go off on our own adventures. Kirsten did an fabulous job and we'd jump at the chance to do it all again!

It was very easy working with Nordic Visitor. Most of the B&Bs we stayed at we probably never would have found ourselves. It was great, especially since some were only one-night stays. All accommodation and hosts were great. We would probably stay at all again, except for one. The road map provided was great! Loved the highlighted route & the highlighted points of interest. Having each accommodation location noted on the map was helpful. We'll be keeping the map as a souvenir to show friends & family!

The information provided for each day was very useful when planning our day. Also knowing we would have accommodation was good.

The airport pick-up service (both to and from the airport) was exceptional and worth special note.

Overall, the trip was wonderful. We really enjoyed the guide with optional places to stop, thought the hotels were nice, and had no trouble with the rental car.

Eve was our Nordic Visitor travel consultant and did a great job guiding us for our 8-day driving tour of Scotland and ensuring we knew what to expect and what to do where (i.e. book restaurants in Isle of Skye!). When she wasn't available, someone else helped us out. Many of the tips provided were very useful. We love the idea of a self-drive tour and being able to stop wherever we like along the way. It was very reassuring that Nordic Visitor had booked our accommodation, and guided us along the way, especially as we didn't have much knowledge of the area previously. As it turns out we didn't have any rain in Scotland for our 9 days - quite an anomaly! This has been a trip of a lifetime for us. Thank you!

Early in our tour, our ferry to Orkney had to be rebooked due to issues with Pentland. We were not in a good service area to get that information on the day that Nordic Visitor tried to contact us. The changes were sent to our accommodation that evening and everything went smoothly. All accommodation was great. They were clean, had great breakfasts and were located in beautiful settings.

Great way to see the country. All the upfront planning done by Nordic Visitor so we could just enjoy the experience. Having a hire car allowed us to see what we wanted to see.

Rebecca was always prompt with responses to questions and always informative, always patient. We're first time (and older) travellers and her professional manner was a delight to work with.

Every part of this trip was perfect! And everything flowed seamlessly, from the pick up at the airport, to the drop off on our way home. Our tour guides, Peter and Carolina, went above and beyond. They really cared about giving us a great experience and their knowledge of the history of Scotland was impressive. We had full days every day, and on top of everything, the weather was great! We did the self guided tour of Scotland. I wish we had more time to explore this amazing country! It was a new experience for most of us to drive around on our own and be able to control what we saw and it will definitely be a way of travel for us in the future. I think we were able to avoid a large majority or tourist traps this way. Of course, we still visited some, but it was amazing to be able to experience Scotland at our own pace and be able to stop when we wanted. Thank you Nordic Visitor!

Great tour, good support when things did not work out as planned, good people working for you. Eve was great. The accommodation was all great, wonderful people. Some places we got to and some we did not, but we had a wonderful time and will recommend you folks to everyone, as well as see you in the future.

We had an amazing vacation on our self-drive tour through Scotland. The locations were good and the drive time per day was reasonable with numerous stops. We had to contact Nordic Visitor twice while on our trip, once as we had a flat tire and were delayed by several hours. They contacted the rental company and the hotel to let them know we would be late arriving. The other time was when our ferry was cancelled and when I called, they were already aware and working on getting us on a later ferry. Both times we had to call for assistance they were very helpful and kept in communication with us until it was resolved and we were back on our way. I was very happy with the entire experience and would recommend to my friends. If you are interested in doing a self-drive tour in another country, this is a great way to plan your trip. It was all mapped out better than I could have done it myself.

We felt we saw 99% of Scotland using Nordic Visitor. Chris did a great job lining up our lodgings, vehicle, ferry tickets and providing a detailed itinerary. We left no stone unturned and although I was apprehensive about driving on the left, I had no issues. The single lane tracks were dicey but everyone was friendly and gave a passing wave. The sheep presented no problem as we enjoyed our revenge at dinner.

Our overall experience was very good, minus some accommodation that we did not like as much as the others. What made the tour exceptional was our guide, Dave. His knowledge of Scotland and professionalism made the trip. He was awesome about tailoring each day's itinerary to our likes and taking us off the beaten path to experiences and sights that we would never have found on our own.

Overall the tour was excellent! I appreciated the advice from the travel agent. This helped me feel very prepared for our trip. Everywhere we stayed was wonderful. The extras, such as the tea at Edinburgh Castle and the Ghostly Underground tour, were great. The recommendations for how to get around in the city and the restaurant guide were great as well. We plan to use Nordic Visitor again in a year or two for a second trip to Scotland and someday for a trip to Iceland.

The Nordic Visitor package provided a great plan for our tour, with super guidance and suggestions, along with nice accommodation and cars. All the hassle of figuring out things on our own was eliminated by using Nordic Visitor and their tour planners. Rebecca was excellent in communicating with us and providing everything we needed.

The accommodation and food were exceptional. The sites we saw and the history explained by our tour guide were just unbelievable. The small coach is the way to travel. We all became friends. 

From communicating with Nordic Visitor, booking my trip, arriving at the airport and be welcomed by our driver Paul, each hotel, every meal, our amazing tour guide, Anita, our drivers, Gary and Stevie… everything was so perfect! It was the most magical trip! 

We have always been independent travellers but we needed help with Scotland. It was great to have Nordic Visitor's help. We loved our accommodation.

Our tour began in Edinburgh and made a wide circle through Aberdeen, the Orkney islands and the Hebrides islands. We saw castles, castle ruins, palaces, palace ruins and neolithic archeological digs. We toured galleries, museums, distilleries and beautiful, quaint towns. We saw sheep, hairy "coos" and deer. All of our accommodation was planned for us by Nordic Visitor and always included a breakfast that nearly lasted us all day. Nordic Visitor scheduled our rental car (we drove 1,500 miles in 3 weeks) and pre-booked our ferry passages. All we had to think about was having a good time and the location of our next stop for tea and biscuits. I am certain that we would not have seen this much of Scotland if we had planned our own itinerary. Some of our hosts had not seen what we saw of the countryside. We loved every minute.

Our Scotland tour was super. Andy, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and entertaining. He made the tour remarkable. We found Scotland a beautiful country. Skye was our favourite with breathtaking scenery.

Overall, I had a wonderful time on the tour and I was very impressed with all the accommodation. The food was also very good - I appreciated the options, even though it was a limited menu offering. Our guide, Richard, was very knowledgeable. Our driver, Tim, was also wonderful - good driving and knowledgable. 

It was a very good experience. The booklet was so very useful though some of the info needs refreshing. There was good ongoing contact during the trip when the ferries changed.

All of the accommodation was great. The B&B owners were fantastic.

Our tour guide was fantastic. I wish I would have been told more about what to expect before we travelled, though.

We went on the Scotland Winter World tour for 8 days, and overall it was great. We experienced so much and travelled all over Scotland. The detailed information that was provided upon arrival was amazing. Magda was wonderful and knowledgeable and responded quickly to emails and phone calls.

It was so convenient to have the logistics already planned for us. The accommodation was all nice and the suggested outings were perfect.

For a first visit in Scotland, it was peace of mind to have guidance for planning our days, as well as accommodation arranged in different places and additional services like the car rental.

I was a solo traveller, not expecting at all to have as much fun as I did. The hosts at the accommodation were extremely friendly and the daily itineraries were very detailed so that one could choose what I preferred. More information (or GPS locations) for the hikes would probably be useful as it took always a bit to find the right location to start the walks. Everything went very well and hosts at the accommodation were fantastic.

This is the second time we have used Nordic Visitor to book a trip for us. We love the way all the research on where to go, where to stay, and what to do is already done for us! This was our second tour with Nordic Visitor, with our first being Iceland in 2017. That first experience was stellar and we wanted to used Nordic Visitor again for Scotland this round since our first experience was so great. We really love the ability to go at our own pace, while getting tour and sight recommendations, and staying at unique, local properties. Scotland and the team we worked with for this tour did not disappoint! We were originally slated to go in April of 2020. Through it all Nordic Visitor and the team have been absolutely phenomenal, going well above and beyond anything we would have expected. Not only did they help us reschedule multiple times, they kept us updated with everything going on in the UK with the pandemic, and answered 100's of questions from us over the years. We were also pleasantly surprised to find that our original contracted amount for the trip was honoured, which was both unexpected but very appreciated. We will absolutely be using Nordic Visitor again in the future. We can't wait to use these services again! We made some side detours through national parks and enjoyed exploring. Loved Stirling Castle and our time on Skye. We did not allow enough time to do anything in Inverness but enjoyed the lodge and their restaurant. We drove over the narrow mountain pass and being from Colorado we enjoyed the mountains. I was on the tour of the Scottish Highlands including Skye and overall was very pleased. Both our guides were warm and knowledgeable about the places they drove us. I appreciated the pre-tour service of Eve, our travel consultant. Although I was accompanied by a friend, we only received one map of Scotland and one itinerary.

Everything about our experience was incredible. Each hotel was lovely and accommodating. Every person we met was kind and helpful! Driving through the Scottish countryside was an adventure my husband and I will cherish forever! Super organized, loved the maps and site recommendations! We would do it again and book with Nordic Visitor again in a heartbeat! Can't wait to go back to Scotland!

Fantastic guide and equally good driver. Both well informed with good sense of humour. As we were the 'oldies' on the trip with some mobility issues, they were always there willing to help.

We had such an amazing holiday! First time booking a self-drive holiday, but we were put at ease with such great organisation and communication from our very own travel consultant. Rebecca was so friendly and helpful. She was quick to respond to any queries on the trip or happy just to give a bit of advice on best places to eat or the best routes to take. It was great knowing she was on hand to help with anything we needed to make our experience the best. All the accommodation was easy to find and well planned out on each step of our journey. Each hotel/B&B was in a great location with easy access to shops and restaurants, we didn't have to drive anywhere on an evening, we could have a walk about to explore the local area. Staff at the small B&Bs were so welcoming, we did feel right at home. The home cooked Scottish breakfasts were delicious, with lots of options each day. The journey was well planned out, the itinerary was amazing! It was great to have a copy sent before our trip so I could do a bit of my own planning and research on what we would like to see. It was good to have suggestions on sights and places of interest to see each day. We managed to see some wonderful places. The highlighted map was really useful to have on hand. All accommodations were excellent with very friendly hosts. Car rental pickup was very quick and easy and car was excellent. Rebecca was excellent, she took all our requirements and made a personal tour for us. Her attention to detail was excellent.The documents at our first hotel were excellent especially the map with everything marked on for us.

The accommodations mapped out for us were wonderful. All were 3star or higher rated B&Bs and they were all centrally located to attractions and historic landmarks we wanted to see. That fact alone made it really easy for us to walk or drive A short distance to sites or activities we were interested in doing on the trip, which made the experience very enjoyable. Both taxi services hired to pick us up and drop us off from the airport we're amazing as well. The taxi driver picking us up was especially helpful and even gave us a brief driving tour of Edinburgh the first day we arrived.

Our second trip with Nordic Visitor. Recommended friends who went to the Scandinavian countries with Nordic Visitor and they were very satisfied.

All of the hotels had great food and people. Response time was excellent -  Agnes was very attentive. The packets were wonderful, we referred to them constantly. The big map was very helpful as well.

We loved the entire tour. It was all new to us and each day so different it is hard to compare. We have already recommended this tour to several friends who say they are very interested. 

We thought the daily itinerary was very well planned - several stops that were never more than 45 minutes from one another and never too overly ambitious. The recommendations for places to stop for refreshments were also very good. The itinerary also distinguished between the 'must see' and the 'if you have time'. It was obvious that the itineray was prepared by someone who was extremely familiar with the sites. We enjoyed the trip immensely. It was better than we hoped it would be.

The map and itinerary provided with the highlights of places we were visiting was so helpful. 

We have now taken two trips with Nordic Visitor. Three years ago we spent two and a half weeks in Sweden (self-driving) and this self-driving three-week trip to Scotland/Northern England. Her diligence in the beginning, answering my questions about seeing ancestral sites, and giving me that info right off the bat is what tipped the scales to go with Nordic Visitor. AMAZING. We stayed in hotels we probably would not have booked on our own and the host were fabulous and told us that Annie was a pleasure to work with when booking our stay. All the hotels knew who we were and expected us. When our ferry got cancelled Annie made sure to call the hotel and notify us of a change of plans and gave us a very detailed route and got in contact with our next hotel to notify them that we would be late. We were very impressed!

Agne was extremely helpful and informative when organising the holiday. All travel documents were emailed to us before we left Australia and hard copies were also waiting for us at our first accommodation in Edinburgh. The fold-out map that had been highlighted with route of the journey was terrific and easy to follow.

Stephen was our guide for the tour and was a huge reason we give the tour high marks. Pleasant, knowledgeable, creative and conscious he found ways to make the sights and their history come alive. He is a great representative for you and for Scotland!

Airport transfers were great arrival and departure were perfect. Both drivers were full of information and advise. Wonderful to be meet by wonderful friendly people. We had a hotel and a guest house among our accommodation much preferred the B & B experience. Host at B & B were very welcoming with lots of information on their area.

Annie was just superb to deal with both over the phone and with the internet. She was extremely knowledgeable and very pleasant to work with. Loved Cocoa Mountain in Durness. We truly enjoyed Orkney Island and also the Islands of Harris and Lewis. Since we punctured a tire, we were grateful to have the insurance package.

Hotels were all excellent.  Wonderful service at each place.  Couldn't have been happier. This was a stress free trip because of the planning provided by Annie. I was able to review things to do with our kids so they could pick out the things that they wanted to do and see while visiting Scotland. It was nice to have a list of options to pick from.  Every day was great.  I especially loved the map with the highlighted routes, hotels and points of interest.  While filling up the car, I got out to unfold the entire map and flip it over so we could see the upper section of Scotland.  My daughter told me that people were looking at me as I did this.  I told her they had map envy!

The self-driving tour planned for us was everything I'd hoped, with a wonderful range of destinations and accommodations throughout. In every case, arrangements were what we would have chosen, had we planned this trip ourselves!

Great guide and driver both were so knowledgeable of history, sites, people, lots of surprises. The tour is extensive- and go go every day- Hard to factor in some down time because there is so much to see in Scotland. Bus could have been a tad larger to give a bit more space. Really appreciate and respect the "no discussing politics" request at the onset- served everyone well. Hotels chosen were amazing- as were the meals - with honorable mention to Hame Hotel on Isle of Skye. We loved every minute of this tour- Our guide Barry really does deserve special mention- he went out of his way to accommodate everyone/threw in delicious surprises, and special stops…. LOVE HIM.

Our tour was a perfect introduction to Scotland. Barry was a great guide providing the right amount of history, music, and humor. The meals and accommodations were first class. This was our first tour and we were very happy with all aspects of the tour. We look forward to joining Nordic Visitor on a future trip.

The initial booking staff was very friendly and courteous. The tour guide and driver were top-notch. Felt like we explored every inch of Scotland, so money well spent.

From start to finish you have a knowledgeable guide, who lets you know where you are, the local history and places that have favourable visitor reports. Accommodations are great, actually there is very little to be concerned about.

Jana made planning our first trip to Scotland and Ireland a breeze. We opted for the self drive tour and loved the freedom and flexibility that brought us, while still having the confidence and support of our travel consultant. We were offered many suggestions for sites to see and activities to do in each of our stops, we loved the security of knowing our accommodations would be comfortable, and to have our transportation including rental cars, ferry crossing, and flight between Scotland and Ireland handled for us.

John was our tour guide and he did a splendid job on our Highlights of Scotland Tour. We especially enjoyed his narratives which gave us the historical significance and rich contextual details for the many sites and events we saw. We loved the dinners and accommodations and were particularly pleased and impressed with the Glenspean Lodge in Roy Bridge, Fort William. The delightful cuisine offered at the Hame on Skye Hotel was delectable including the best venison I have ever eaten. We want also enjoyed the colorful commentary and witty humor of our superb driver, Stevie, who introduced name to Snooker. All in all, we had an unforgettable experience on our tour.

Our personal travel assistant was so I formative, easy to contact and always a quick response to any question I had. Our tour guide was a wealth of knowledge at each and every stop we made. He was kind, and made you feel completely at ease. Our driver was amazing. He was also very knowledgeable about everything. We could not have asked for a better tour. Oh and our accommodations were exquisite!!!

Duncan was superb in helping us plan/coordinate our overseas trip to Scotland. His team's attention to detail took all the worry out of the trip. Having Dave guide and John drive our awesome comfortable deluxe van around Scotland was perfect. I didn't care for the backwards facing seats or the crowded back seat, but we rotated around as a group each day to make it comfortable for everyone. The accommodations each night (especially Isle of Skye) and delicious meals were superb. There definitely a variety of experiences. I would have loved even more hiking, but that's another trip. My husband and I would definitely recommend Nordic Visitor to any of our family and friends.

Our tour of Scotland was amazing. Driver "John" and tour guide/host "Dave" we exceptional. I cannot imagine a better tour experience. The navigation, knowledge and expertise allowed us as travelers to relax and immerse ourselves in the countryside.

We were on the 2 week Wonders of Scotland and Ireland Tour in May, 2025. This was our second tour with Nordic. As with our first tour to Iceland, this tour was one our favorite trips. It was a small group of 11 people. Our guide, Anita, and our drivers, Dave and Desi, were excellent. All were very professional, knowledgeable about our surroundings, helpful, kept us informed of our schedule and where to be when. The stops and hotels were organized and we felt we received and excellent experience of the beautiful countries of Scotland and Ireland. We not hesitate to do other tours with Nordic Vistor.

Our trip was fabulous! Our consultant always responded to any questions and made arrangements for any extra activity or hotels we needed before and after the tour. Our guide and driver were very knowledgeable, caring and enjoyable.

Wonderful trip! First guided tour & it will not be the last! Our guide, Barbara, was just the BEST! Plus she's a walking history book, providing many interesting facts about all the places we visited. Tim, our driver was also a great guy, very professional! I can not recommend Nordic Visitor highly enough, I'm telling all my friends they need to go on a Nordic Tour!

First, our guide Anita was terrific. She read a lot of history to us, had a warm personality, great sense of humor and went above and beyond for us. Transport was excellent, kudos to Dave and Dessi. Great hotels except the Gleneagle. It's too big with not enough facilities, especially in the dining area. You had to line up to get in and even then they were not ready for our 11 person group. All locations visited were enjoyable. It would be nice to have more time in some places instead of having to stick to a tight schedule. But it's a tour so I understand the constraints.A meet and greet in Edinburgh would have been a good idea . Nordic Visitor provided excellent pre-trip info and tour packets. Overall,the trip was well-planned

Our travel consultant, Chris, was responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. Everything on the trip was booked perfectly and we had zero issues in country. The accommodations were very lovely and the activities were perfect. Overall, it was a great experience and we would use Nordic again.

This company is really amazing, I was hesitant about it at first as it was a random google find but I am beyond pleased with them! Magda, our travel consultant was simply amazing and I plan to use her again for future trips. Everything was so simple and easy, I didn't have to worry about a single thing. All of our accommodations were wonderful, clean, amazing my hospitality. All of the activities Magda planned for us were perfect as well. We used Nordic Visitor to plan our first overseas trip and can't wait to plan our next one! Zachary our travel consultant was patient with all our questions. The hotels were exactly as described with great locations for exploring each area. Nordic booked our car rental as well, providing us with information needed to navigate to each area and things to do along the way.

Customer service was excellent prior to the trip - Duncan responded quickly to any questions. The small group was ideal - easy to get everyone on and off the bus efficiently. Our guide Anita was personable and knowledgeable. We saw a lot and enjoyed varied lodgings.

My travel consultant Magda was excellent and answered all my questions and concerns throughout the booking. Our experience in Scotland was amazing. We had an amazing tour guide Dave and Driver Stevie. The other 12 people we were with were all so nice to travel with. At the end of the 10 days we all said we would miss seeing each other the next day. Overall it was an amazing experience!

We've taken a few tours, but this was the first "small" group tour. The tour was more intimate, staying in smaller boutique hotels and eating meals with just our group. We had a bit more flexibility in optional destinations with a smaller group.

This was my first experience with a Nordic Visitor small group tour and I truly enjoyed my tour of Scotland and the people that were on the tour with me. The accommodations, transportation and activities were all really nice, particularly the accommodation and food on the Isle of Skye and we had an excellent driver and tour guide. The itinerary was varied and we visited more sites than one would think possible for the length of the tour. I would recommend this tour. 

Our travel consultant Duncan did an absolutely fantastic job putting together our 10 day visit to Scotland. All our accommodations were great and our tour guide was excellent. I would recommend Nordic to anyone.

We were travelling as a group of 7 including 3 kids and 2 seniors. Nordic Visitor did a great job in all of the planning, and booking, to ensure our trip worked seamlessly despite the complexity of being a bit larger of a group.

The organization was perfect, all went according to plan. The suggestions were good.the only down side was that we might have liked to stay longer in each place so that we had more time to see things. Mostly the hotels were great i would be critical of only one place.

Our Nordic Visitor tour of Scotland was planned meticulously by their representative Duncan. We were amazed by how seamless our driving tour of Scotland turned out. Every hotel and B&B exceeded our expectations. Duncan provided helpful hints and this style of tour allows us the flexibility to spend more time in certain areas when we wanted. Our consultant Duncan was extremely easy to deal with and promptly answered all my queries by email, including adding a booking I had made to our itinerary. The car and hire went seamlessly. Our upgraded accommodation was fabulous in all locations (the only negative was in Inverness and Fort William the showers were step into baths which could pose a problem for some guests). The bookings for ferries were well timed. We did pre book some activities and restaurants as suggested which was good as it was quite busy especially in Orkney and on Harris & Lewis. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our self drive and would not hesitate in stories Visitor again.

We did the 10 day self -drive Classic Scotland Tour. Words cannot describe the unique beauty of the Highlands and Isle of Skye landscapes! We learned so much about Scotland's history. Our Nordic Visitor consultant Jana was so easy to work with and so knowledgeable in helping us customize our itinerary so we had a nice balance of sightseeing and hiking ( hiking was one of our priorities). Absolutely everything went smoothly with all of our reservations that Jana made for us from the car rental to lodgings and pre-booking attractions. The restaurant guide was also very helpful for booking reservations in advance. We will certainly look to Nordic Visitor for our anticipated trip to Iceland in 2025!

This was our first experience using Nordic Visitor for a three week self-guided tour of Scotland and it was fantastic! The accommodations were top notch and the included breakfast was always amazing. There were several ferry rides as part of our tour and these were also well planned by Nordic Visitor. Our travel consultant Duncan kept us very well informed of our travel arrangements. We will be using Nordic Visitor for our next trip to Iceland in 2026. Highly recommended!

Pete and William are very knowledgeable and explained everything with answers to every question. They also made the trip fun with their wits. We did learn a lot of Scottish culture, history and folk stories. The accommodation exceeded out expectations. Breakfast and dinner were very good with the exception of the dinner at the Best Western in Inverness. Since the coach was not full we had a lot of space which was nice.We met some great people on this trip and we made some new friends which made the trip more enjoyable. We will remember this trip for a long time. 

Great pre-arranged accommodations, lots of information on driving route. This is our 3rd tour with Nordic Visitors and we wouldn't hesitate to use them or refer them to our friends!

Everything turned out amazing. The travel arrangements were seamless: hotels, car rental, ferry crossings, attractions etcetera. Everything went smoothly. Helpful when we changed our itinerary at the last moment. At each location a list of attractions to see/do, including restaurant listings for each area. Travel consultant always responded via Emails. Then accommodations were a good blend of accommodations with hotels and BNBs.

So, the experience was awesome. The suggestions were great and the bookings were spot on. We had absolutely no issues with the trip! The rooms were great, the tours were great! We could not have been more pleased with the overall experience. I look forward to using Nordic Visitor for our travels in the future.

We were very pleased with our complete Scotland vacation. The information provided before and during our vacation was extremely helpful. We were so glad we decided to use Nordic Visitor. We could not have designed our tour as expertly as they did. The route they provided was perfect and the suggested points of interest were right on. The hard copy map with our route, accommodations and suggested places to see was invaluable. These travel Agents know their stuff! We quickly learned to stick to the route provided. The lodgings were great. There was only one or two accommodations that we wouldn't have chosen for ourselves, but we understand why they were chosen and overall we're very happy.

We had a wonderful experience with Nordic Visitor. Everything went without a problem. The cars were big enough to be comfortable and hold our luggage. The accommodations were wonderful. It was easy to add on some extra night's stay in Edinburgh. The St. Andrew's Square location was perfect for walking to so many things we wanted to see and also there were many delicious restaurants close by. The personalized guide book and map were very helpful with directions and giving different options of things to see and do. Everyone was so helpful and the locations and views were beautiful. The provided breakfasts were delicious with plenty of choices. I would happily recommend them to anyone and would love to book another tour in the future.

Overall, our trip with Nordic Visitor went very well. Our consultant set up a very doable itinerary and supplied plenty of information and links to help prepare for the trip. Transportation to/from the airport was on time...Accomodations varied from hotels to B+B's. The B+B accommodation in Inverness was small and very cramped with limitedroom to place our luggage... The B+B in Callender was right on the main street with lots of traffic noise. Also, the bed was very uncomfortable. Our driver/guide, Brendan, was wonderful and really helped us enjoy the historic sites and activities.

We did the Wonders of Scotland tour and it was just as advertised and absolutely wonderful. Our guide Allen and driver Brian went way beyond expectations. They were both friendly, accommodating and extremely competent.  The hotels and food were superb without exception. We are seasoned travellers and this Nordic Visitor tour was one of our best experiences. 

Fantastic tour. Our tour guide was well versed in the history of Scotland, and she had a great sense of humor. Our bus driver was courteous and helpful. He was a safe driver and appeared to have a lot of experience driving tour buses. Both the tour guide and bus driver complemented each other well. The tour covered  many of the areas that I wanted to see.

Everyone connected to this experience was very professional....Arnold Clarke Car Rental, B&B owners, accommodations, breakfasts, Ferry services and of course our Nordic Visitor consultants. Everything went to plan and everything we were told to expect happened just as expected. Our documentation, map and guides were very helpful (we now wish the guides were available to us before arrival because they contained more detail than the website). The suggested sites were both helpful and a great representation of Scotland. Overall we were overjoyed with our trip.

Using Nordic Visitor is pushing the "Easy" button. They plan it all. Our travel consultant Magda was reponsive and helpful. From pick up to drop off at the aiport, all things were in order and our accomodations were very nice. Lovely taxi service with drivers Steven and Peter. Motel One was a great place to start our journey and we ended at the Ibis in new town, but it could have easily been in reverse. Everything in Edinburgh is accessible if you walk. Sandra at Arnold Clark car rental was such a help as we braved the idea of driving on the left side. There were too many places to see in our short visit, but we gave it our best shot. The ridiculously large map lined out our route and all sights along the way.

Nordic visitor was very responsive in putting our itinerary together and customised our trip for our requirements. The comfortable accommodation was very well located with easy access to public transport and also centrally located.

This was such a great adventure for us on our 20th! Amazing tours and time to roam around the city on our own! We fell in love with the people and cannot wait to go back!

We enjoyed the tour very much. We would not sign up for any tour package as we found we really just wanted to explore on our own and choose what we did by the weather and how far we had to drive each day. The weather, which did not bother us a bit, did slow us down a time or two! Driving was really quite easy. The map you provided us with was excellent, but barely survived, we taped it up a time or two. The car rental process was easy. We loved all our accommodation. Each was unique and special in its own way. Standouts were the two in Edinburgh. Great locations and breakfasts. Another standout was in Ullapool - cozy and lovely and a fabulous sitting area and views. We truly enjoyed the whole trip. We have already told numerous friends about your services and hope to return someday on another trip. Cheers. Haste ye back!

Absolutely stunning tour! The cost to value was amazing, for a 10-day trip around the entire country it was so affordable. Our car rental was great, it gave us the room to tour around on our own time with optimal fuel efficiency. I filled up maybe twice. Our accommodation were impeccable. Each place was well kept, comfortable and the hosts/staff were incredibly kind. The extra tours we booked like the food and wine tour and Loch Ness cruise were wonderful additions to our touring and super fun. The entire tour was breathtaking, our guide gave us the most amazing options that we could tailor to our daily needs depending on how much driving, sightseeing, hiking, etc. we wanted to do.

The tour was planned out so that we had the flexibility to stop and check out sites related to our interests. We had time to make it to our next accommodation while stopping along the way.

Our trip was absolutely amazing! It was great to be able to leave the more difficult parts of travelling to the experts. We were satisfied with almost all of the places where we had stayed. Our favourite accommodation was The Marmalade Hotel. The facility was beautiful and clean. The staff was super friendly and made our stay even better. One thing to call out about Portree is the lack of places to eat. Not sure how we missed this but we were completely unaware that we needed reservations at any restaurant prior to arriving in Portree. Other than a couple of hiccups, we absolutely loved our trip.

Our contact at Nordic Visitor was Chris . He was very responsive to our emails as we planned the trip. We had very good conversations a couple of times as well. It was no problem to adjust the 21-day self-drive tour to accommodate our specific wishes to explore certain islands and parts of Scotland. Also at the last minute on our tour he notified us that a B&B had to close unexpectedly. The replacement accommodation was excellent and details were handled seamlessly. Thanks Chris!

Our tour was modified from one of the original listings. Nordic Visitor took our preferences into account and created an experience that will be memorable for a lifetime!

We had some of the most amazing views and scenic stops through this driving experience. The itinerary provided us with a lot of opportunity to see the history that Scotland has to offer. The castles Urquhart, Eilean Donan, Inveraray, and Doune were fantastic to walk through. Culloden Battlefield was very educational and provided a greater understanding for Scotland's turbulent history. We enjoyed driving through the Isle of Skye and seeing the countryside as well. Our short stay in Edinburgh left us wanting more as we didn't get to see everything we wanted to in the amount of time we had available. Holyrood Palace was absolutely amazing and we strongly recommend travellers to experience it. The people of Scotland are very friendly and respectful. We would love to come back!

Everything went well on our trip. It would have been nice to be contacted while we were travelling to make sure everything was going okay. We did feel a little rushed and it was a lot of driving. It maybe could have been better to stay more days at one place.

We had such an amazing time on our trip to Scotland. Our welcome bag had everything we needed and made us feel at ease knowing we wouldn't miss anything. We are already looking forward to planning our next trip through Nordic Visitor because of how easy everything was!
