What you'll experience on Norway in a Nutshell® by Fjord Tours
The Bergen Railway – Your adventure begins aboard one of the world's great train journeys: the Bergensbanen (Bergen Line). From Oslo, you'll cross Hardangervidda, Europe's highest mountain plateau. Look out for reindeer. They're not shy.
The Flåm Railway (Flåmsbana) – At Myrdal, 866 metres above sea level, you switch to the famous Flåmsbana. Twenty kilometres of steep descent. Eleven tunnels. One stop at Kjosfossen waterfall that'll have you reaching for your camera before the train has fully stopped.
The Fjord Cruise – From Flåm, you board a ferry and glide into the Aurlandsfjord, then into the UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord. Two hours of cliffs rising straight from the water, waterfalls catching the light, and that particular Norwegian silence.
The Nærøy Valley – A scenic coach ride winds through the valley to Voss, where you reconnect with the railway for the final stretch into Bergen.
Beyond the shell: your Norway
