What are the World Travel Awards™?

Since 1993, the World Travel Awards™ have recognised excellence across every corner of travel – airlines, hotels, tour operators, and destinations worldwide. The nominations come from industry professionals, and the winners are decided by travel experts and travellers around the world.

It's not just a pat on the back for flashy campaigns that are only made possible with inflated marketing budgets. It's recognition for doing good work consistently – year after year, guest after guest.

What these nominations mean

Being shortlisted in 2 categories means so much to us. It confirms that what we've been building since 2002: local expertise, personal service, and trips designed by people who genuinely know (and love!) the places you want to visit The Iceland's Leading Tour Operator nomination speaks to our heritage. This is where we started. It’s where Nordic Visitor was born.

Europe's Leading Tour Operator is a nod to our future. We now operate in more than 15 destinations across the continent, with local teams in Reykjavík, Stockholm, Edinburgh, Munich, Dublin, and Rome. This nomination recognises that the approach we built in Iceland works just as well beyond the Nordics.

The nominations are fantastic. But what really matters is what they represent.

They reflect the trust that our guests place in us. We have over 2,500 five-star Tripadvisor reviews and our guests remember our consultants and guides by name.  That’s real people remembering the real moments with real human beings who cared enough to make their trip memorable.

After more than 2 decades, we're still guided by the same belief we started with. The best travel experiences come from having a friend in the destination – someone who knows the place, and cares about your trip as much as you do.
