Send a postcard home while you’re touring the Alps

Post offices are located in all major communities across the Alps, and opening hours are usually 9 AM – 5:30 PM Monday to Friday. Some locations have limited Saturday hours.

You can buy stamps at any post office, convenience shop and newsagent. When you’re buying stamps, make sure you mention which country you’re sending your postcard or letter to, to make sure you get the right kind.

For simple cards, a stamp is all you’ll need. If you want to send anything larger, you’ll have to send it from a post office and pay for its weight. You might also need to fill out a customs form.
