Lóndrangar

Snæfellsnes' stunning rock pinnacles

Lóndrangar are two prominent rocks, protruding from the coast just east of the lighthouse at Malarrif on the southern edge of the Snæfellsnes peninsula.

The remains of volcanic plugs, they were first climbed in 1753. From Svalþúfa hill you can walk to the edge of the Þúfubjarg cliff to watch the guillemots and kittiwakes. From there, it is easy to walk down to the Lóndrangar pillars.

Lóndrangar was an old fishing centre and remains of camps can still be seen there.
