The City Hall is an imposing building in the city centre of Belfast. Located within the Donegall Square, you won’t want to miss visiting this magnificent and historic hall.

The City Hall was built in the Baroque Revival style at the turn of the 20^th century, opening its doors in 1906. With its four towers and large dome, the design is lavish as it was built during a period of prosperity for Belfast.

Take advantage of free tours of City Hall, available daily throughout the year. Tickets are given on a first-come, first-served basis so make sure to arrive early not to miss out.

The tours last around one hour, going over the history of Belfast City Hall and highlighting some of its most fascinating features. This includes the banqueting hall, marble entrance and paintings showing important moments of Belfast history.

Within City Hall, you can also admire the public art and stained-glass windows. Nearby, on the City Hall grounds, you can visit the Titanic Memorial Garden. The monument at its heart is a commemoration to all the victims of the Titanic disaster.
