Scotland Tours From Edinburgh

Our accommodations were very nice. We wanted boutique type stays and we got them. Quirky, fun, historic or special in other ways. Restaurants on site were scrumptious - especially where there were very few other options. In Glasgow, so many good restaurants nearby. Breakfasts in general far exceeded expectations. When there were no elevators, we were offered help with our bags. We found many prior Nordic clients returning to the same inns several times. The materials provided were very nice. Especially appreciated the marked up route on the travel map. It provided suggestions that we used.

The Complete Tour of Scotland and Ireland was an excellent trip. The great thing about a self-driving tour is we were able to add a few extra stops, like St. Andrews, a sheep dog demonstration, and Waterford factory tour that appealed to us. Single track roads: now that is an experience.

Everything is easy with Nordic Visitor. The excursions all built on each other until I felt like an expert on Scotland by the end. The bus tours are small and varied -- no getting stuck with the same group for days. Overall A+ experience. 

We were happy with the way the trip was organised and how well Chris arranged our accommodation, points of interest and car hire.Well done and we would recommend Nordic Visitor as a professional organisation.

We were so happy we chose Nordic Visitor for our honeymoon to Scotland. They really took the stress out of planning. The accommodations were excellent, cozy, and great locations - especially in the Isle of Skye. We loved all their suggestions of places to view and restaurants. Magda (our consultant) sent us great preparation tips and even updated us on any changes during our trip. We are so happy we decided to go with Nordic Visitor. We also highly recommend the self-driving tour, as it allowed us to go at our own pace.

We started working our travel plans with our Travel Consultant several months in advance of our trip. Our consultant was very helpful in modifying one of the self-drive tours. We are so glad that Nordic made all the accommodation reservations, so we didn't have to, and they were all very nice and in good locations. We spent 22 days driving around Scotland, and it was a whirlwind tour, which we knew it would be, but everything worked very well, and we had a wonderful time. We will definitely consider another trip using Nordic Visitor.

This is our second booking with Nordic Visitor. I was very happy with our accommodations and the travel guides, including maps, provided. Every suggestion was an amazing experience!

Our personal travel consultant, Lauriane, was very helpful setting up our trip. She answered our questions quickly and even contacted all of the places we would be staying to make sure they had alternatives to down pillows. Our transportation to and from the airport was wonderful. Both drivers were very knowledgeable of the area and treated us like VIPs. All of our accommodations were very comfortable and located in great locations. The included breakfasts were wonderful! What we liked most about our tour is how what we did was up to us. We did sign up for a couple of activities, which were great, but it was nice not to have to rush to get to the next activity. We will definitely use Nordic Visitor again.

Trip was great, Ireland and Scotland are beautiful. Consultants and drivers were great. The only thing I would say is there are a lot of one night hotel stays with not enough time to explore the town you are staying. You arrive to hotel late in the day, get your room and have dinner. Accommodations themselves were great with the exception of some were not close to the main area of town, therefore going out to shop or listen to music not conducive.

This trip was everything I'd hoped it would be! Barbara was an amazing tour guide, so kind and thoughtful. She enriched our experience with stories of the history and culture of Scotland that made this trip especially meaningful. Our driver John was a consummate professional and so courteous! He looked dashing in his kilt on the last night. All the sites we visited were stunning with just enough time in between each destination to get the most out of our time in this beautiful country. Worth every penny!

We had an amazing tour through the Scottish Highlands. Dave, our tour guide is super knowledgeable about the history, the culture and landscape of Scotland and the Highlands. We learned so much from him and he encouraged our questions and comments. The tour was wonderful because of Dave. Not to diss John, our driver, who is also a treasure. The two of them together made our trip super fun and we also learned a lot about Scotland.We visited so many amazing places. The planning of the tour was really good.I could not have asked for a more perfect tour for me. I loved every second of it and now just want to go back. Thanks for a lovely trip!

Nordic provided a great itinerary and support from purchase through our return trip. We did a self-driven tour and the detail and optionality of the schedule was wonderful with guidance on places to visit, places to eat, and dozens of very helpful tips.We had some health concerns that popped up during travels and the travel consultants helped us flex our plans and make sure that the person who needed a bit more time could rest. Really appreciate the responsiveness, support, and willingness to work with changes in the plan.

Both our Tour Manager and our driver were amazing!! There were only 5 of us so we got to visit some off itinerary places. We loved the tour and the hotels were very nice!

We cannot say enough great things about Nordic Visitor! Our 10 day tour of Scotland was phenomenal. Everything went incredibly smooth from the car rental to all of our stays. We especially loved Gail at Dionard House in Inverness. She was a hoot! Gabby and Eve answered all our questions very timely and communicated frequently about our trip so that we were prepared. Our personal travel assistant was so I formative, easy to contact and always a quick response to any question I had. Our tour guide was a wealth of knowledge at each and every stop we made. He was kind, and made you feel completely at ease. Our driver was amazing. He was also very knowledgeable about everything. We could not have asked for a better tour. Oh and our accommodations were exquisite!!!

Michelle was our consultant. She did a fabulous job! She responded quickly with any questions and was always willing to help! Our accommodations were great and hosts were all lovely. As we were on a self driving tour our activities were up to us but as always, Michelle helped book when needed. We were very very pleased with our trip to Scotland and Ireland. Duncan was superb in helping us plan/coordinate our overseas trip to Scotland. His team's attention to detail took all the worry out of the trip. Having Dave guide and John drive our awesome comfortable deluxe van around Scotland was perfect. I didn't care for the backwards facing seats or the crowded back seat, but we rotated around as a group each day to make it comfortable for everyone. The accommodations each night (especially Isle of Skye) and delicious meals were superb. There definitely a variety of experiences. I would have loved even more hiking, but that's another trip. My husband and I would definitely recommend Nordic Visitor to any of our family and friends.

Our tour of Scotland was amazing. Driver "John" and tour guide/host "Dave" we exceptional. I cannot imagine a better tour experience. The navigation, knowledge and expertise allowed us as travelers to relax and immerse ourselves in the countryside.

Michelle was so very helpful to us in the leadup to our Scotland trip. She answered each question we had, patiently and promptly. The transport via van was smooth and pleasant. Our driver, Stevie, was safe, professional and friendly. Our trip leader, John, was amazing. He was so knowledgeable, so helpful, so gracious to us. Very informative travel guide and I was personally pleased that she referenced the Outlander series and Harry Potter movies at many sites. Driver was a true gentleman , courteous and we felt safe with his driving. Great hotels and best meals at the hotel in Skye. Loved the chef's taking time to describe our main course! Another day would have have made it less rushed!

From the first inquiry, to the tour itself, Nordic Visitor has been a joy to work with. The tour itself was well-organized and covered many historic and scenic sites. Our tour guide, Marc, was knowledgeable and fun to work with. Our driver, Tim, shared his knowledge of his homeland, and included tales and personal anecdotes. Our small group was never bored! The bus was very comfortable, and the accommodation each night was lovely. The group size was perfect; we enjoyed all the activities, and our group dinners were made even more fun when Marc and Tim joined us. I would certainly book another tour with Nordic Visitor.

Everything about my experience with Nordic Visitor was positive. From the initial inquiry to get more detailed information about the tour I was interested in, to the booking process and handling by my advisor, Chris, who continued to answer my many questions in the months leading up to travel, to the tour itself. Both went above and beyond throughout the week.The hotels were fairly nice and the food was of good quality.I came away from this trip with a much better understanding and appreciation of Scottish history and culture. Great trip!! Our guide was amazing. He quickly homed in on our interests and tailored the trip accordingly. The accommodations were great - clean, comfortable, and cozy. The only thing I would do differently is either make the trip longer, or cover fewer places. Scotland is beautiful and there is just so much to see and do. It's hard to see it all in the time we had.

Our driver was outstanding. Knowledgeable and so accommodating. Hotels were excellent but more choices of in town or outside would be nice.

My husband and I went to Scotland for our honeymoon. Lauriane was our travel consultant and she was wonderful! She took care of everything for us: scheduling our tours and transport, reserving our hotel rooms, and giving us ideas on other activities we could do. When we arrived to the hotel, I was surprised to get a bag and a map that she had personally wrote where our tours met and where our hotel was located. She made the whole planning process for Scotland stress and worry free!! She even texted me the names of our drivers that would be picking us up and dropping us off at the airport. This was a well planned trip to Scotland. Nordic Visitor is very helpful and answered any questions and concerns that I had. The travel guide we had was awesome and the driver was fantastic. Everything fell into place as expected. I was able to see the important things in Scotland that everyone should visit when planning a trip there.

Highlights of Scotland small group tour was exceptional. Scotland land and seascapes were unforgettable - so much history and varied, outstanding views. Andy, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and also entertaining. What a storyteller! Dave, our bus driver, kept his coach and all travellers safe and comfortable. 

Our guide, Maya, was very knowledgeable about the areas we visited, personable, and genuinely kind. Our driver, John, was also wonderfully knowledgeable about the area and seemed to know people everywhere we went. Together they were a funny and impressive duo to show us around Scotland and I don't think there could have been better. Accommodations and food were amazing. Activities were great, although I would have loved to have done more in certain locations- a few, everything was closed while we were there or we lingered in some areas too long or too short. Overall, this tour was amazing and I will definitely recommend it to others.

Everything went smooth from hotels - lovely, food, to site seeing  David our tour guide was amazing so was wally our bus driver - I just wish drumbossie hotel was closer to town.

Our travel consultant Duncan did an absolutely fantastic job putting together our 10 day visit to Scotland. All our accommodations were great and our tour guide was excellent. I would recommend Nordic to anyone.

We were travelling as a group of 7 including 3 kids and 2 seniors. Nordic Visitor did a great job in all of the planning, and booking, to ensure our trip worked seamlessly despite the complexity of being a bit larger of a group.

The organization was perfect, all went according to plan. The suggestions were good.the only down side was that we might have liked to stay longer in each place so that we had more time to see things. Mostly the hotels were great i would be critical of only one place.

Magdalena provided us with wonderful insight, exceptionally clear documents, a map that was easy to read, a great rental car experience, and overall fabulous accommodations.

The accommodations were clean and comfortable. This was our first self-driving tour and it made the planning so much easier- no searching and booking accommodations!

Nordic Visitor staff was extremely helpful, even when the airline delayed our flight into Scotland by two full days. The quick adjustments and flexibility were a lifesaver!

Pete and William are very knowledgeable and explained everything with answers to every question. They also made the trip fun with their wits. We did learn a lot of Scottish culture, history and folk stories. The accommodation exceeded out expectations. Breakfast and dinner were very good with the exception of the dinner at the Best Western in Inverness. Since the coach was not full we had a lot of space which was nice.We met some great people on this trip and we made some new friends which made the trip more enjoyable. We will remember this trip for a long time. 

We were very pleased with our complete Scotland vacation. The information provided before and during our vacation was extremely helpful. We were so glad we decided to use Nordic Visitor. We could not have designed our tour as expertly as they did. The route they provided was perfect and the suggested points of interest were right on. The hard copy map with our route, accommodations and suggested places to see was invaluable. These travel Agents know their stuff! We quickly learned to stick to the route provided. The lodgings were great. There was only one or two accommodations that we wouldn't have chosen for ourselves, but we understand why they were chosen and overall we're very happy.

I worked with a personal travel consultant (Chris) who set up a wonderful trip for my party of six women. He customized a standard route to accommodate an additional overnight. He was professional, responsive, helpful, well-informed, and clear with his communication. Our rental van (Mercedes Vito) was large and comfortable, but not so daunting for the single-track roads we encountered. We were pleased with most of our accommodations - many with surprisingly large rooms and well-apportioned breakfasts. Although we planned our daily schedule on our own, Nordic Visitor provided the structure and handled the hard stuff for us. I would definitely travel with them again.

We chose a 14 day tour to visit the highlands and try some hiking. Isle of Skye was the best for this. There are a fair number of single track roads there but it works well. It was cold and a bit rainy of course and got really hot at the end so you need to pack for all conditions.

It was very good no complaints at all.

I am blown away with how easy and insightful Nordic Visitor was in planning & executing my 14 day self trip to Scotland. It was my lifetime dream. Travel Consultant, Jana, truly went above and beyond for me. I was quite overwhelmed with excitement yet clueless as to how to make the most of my first overseas trip. I was unclear how/where to begin. Jana made all accommodations & reserved car. Even calmed me when I became nervous about driving, advised me on restaurants and experiences, and had a driver there to help upon arrival and departure. I would have missed out on so much had it not been for Jana and her team at Nordic Visitor. I left my heart in Orkney! I could never do it without them. Can't thank her enough. Where to next Jana?

Overall, our trip with Nordic Visitor went very well. Our consultant set up a very doable itinerary and supplied plenty of information and links to help prepare for the trip. Transportation to/from the airport was on time...Accomodations varied from hotels to B+B's. The B+B accommodation in Inverness was small and very cramped with limitedroom to place our luggage... The B+B in Callender was right on the main street with lots of traffic noise. Also, the bed was very uncomfortable. Our driver/guide, Brendan, was wonderful and really helped us enjoy the historic sites and activities.

Well organized tour. Great balance of history, culture and nature.

This tour exceeded my expectations of a small group tour. The entire trip was well organized beginning with the transfer from the airport. The hotel accommodations, meals, daily itineraries were all 5 star. The tour guide, Barbara, was a wealth of historical information and very funny, as was the driver, John. She made the daily road trips interesting and the laughs made it enjoyable. Barbara also played Scottish music as we traversed the Highlands - background music appropriate for the amazing scenery going by. During one of our hotel dinners, John arrived in Highland dress as did Barbara, which was quite charming and appreciated by all. My daughter and I had a wonderful time and having a week of sunny skies made for some beautiful pictures. We would not hesitate to use Nordic Visitor again.

For people who want to see a lot of sights in a short period of time, the Wonders of Scotland tour is for you. The only downfall is there is not a lot of time to explore the towns we drive through other than a quick lunch. The tour helped us figure out locations we would like to come back to and explore more deeply in the future.

The routing plan and the suggestions regarding what sights not to miss were very good. The hotel choices were generally good, and in the rare instance of a problem, your follow up was very good. We appreciate your experience and plan to work with you a third time in the near future.

The Wonders of Scotland tour was above and beyond my expectations - everything was as described and then some. Kirsten in the central office was easy to work with, answered all my questions and was so helpful. The tour guide, Dan, was an expert in his knowledge of each site that we visited and in local lore and customs. Our driver, John, was a gem. He even wore his kilt at our last dinner.  I loved it and hope to visit beautiful Scotland again with Nordic Visitor.

We had such a great trip in Scotland. Our travel consultant, Duncan was so patient with us in putting the trip together for us and was very responsive when we had any questions or concerns. We could not have had a better guide than Peter. He was so much fun and we learned so much from him. He became part of our group immediately and we consider him a friend. This is the 2nd time we've used Nordic Visitor and can't imagine using another tour company now.

Our tour driver was awesome and really was the highlight of our tour. The accommodations were great, but would have preferred to be within walking distance of a town.

We did the Outlander Tour with Nordic Visitor and were able to see many of the filming locations as well as so many other amazing locations and attractions.

All accommodation were phenomenal with one exception. Issue was reported to Nordic Visitor and they responded wonderfully. So happy with the service we received from our travel consultant.

It was so nice to have all of the logistics handled for us so we just went day to day and always knew where we were staying that night.

We took the 14 day self-driving tour of Scotland with 2 extra days in Edinburgh at the end. Picking up and returning the rental car was very easy. We enjoyed the sightseeing suggestions offed in our documents even though we didn't make all of them. Enjoyed our celebratory bubbly on our arrival! We were notified of our cancelled ferry in plenty of time. No problems at all. We are very happy that we chose Nordic Visitor.

The tour was well organised and the itinerary recommendations and site guide were great references but also left us freedom to customise on our own, although the rain "dampened" (pun intended) the experience.

While we had difficulties with the air travel arriving at our beginning destination, correspondence with the Nordic Visitor agents went smoothly allowing us to re-arrange the pre-booked airport shuttle to accommodate our altered arrival time.

Everything was taken care of and the itinerary was excellent. We followed the itinerary each day and found that it was perfect for taking in the sights that we would have wanted to see. The pace of travel was good, and the places outlined in the itinerary were great!

The daily itineraries offered lots of ideas and options as did the map of Scotland that was included. Often there were more places than time to explore them!

Our overall experience was good. Our travel consultant, Chris was excellent and prompt in responding to emails with answers to questions and gave us some great suggestions, prior to booking our trip. All of our trip correspondence was done by email and it worked out great, because Chris was so quick and prompt in getting back with me on every detail of our trip. Once arriving in Scotland, our travel documents and vouchers were waiting on us at our hotel, with the details and suggestions to start our 10-day tour, with 6 of those days driving around the country and 4 in Edinburgh. The only thing that was an issue for us was that a few of our lodging accommodation were without air conditioning, which we were not accustomed to that, but we managed. Overall, Nordic Visitor met our expectations, and I would use their service again for future travels. Scotland is a beautiful place, with so much history. We had a great time!

Magda was an excellent representative for your company. She quickly responded to any questions that we had with detailed answers. Took care of all the details. We had an excellent trip with no problems - except me driving on the other side of the road! Quite an experience.

We had such a lovely time touring Scotland; everything was well thought out and all of the details were handled for us (hotels, routes, things of interests and even recommendations of places to eat). We only had one oops at the car rental - they had up graded us to a BMW, which wouldn't hold all our suitcases in the trunk. They did find us a different car and after a slight delay we were on our way. We enjoyed the driving, although somewhat harrowing for my husband, the driver. The scenery was magnificent, even in the rain.

This is our second vacation with Nordic Visitor and we loved it. Chris was really helpful in working with us to select a self-guiding tour that best matched up with our interests. The hotels were lovely and, despite some rainy days, itineraries for each day were great.

So very glad we chose Nordic Visitor! The tour guides for Scotland and Ireland were amazing! They shared facts and interesting information about the country and towns we visited, added extra tidbits and trivia that enhanced our experience. Made suggestions for local entertainment, music and shows, which added so much fun for our group. I never thought having an experienced driver and tour guide would add so much to our experience and eliminate so much stress to a vacation but it was well worth it! Transportation was perfect and comfortable for 8 adults too.

Duncan, our travel consultant, was very helpful and efficient with all the adjustments I wanted to make to the 8 days Classic Tour. He also chose the right driver/guide for us. The tour was wonderful and corresponding to our indiviual pace. The hotels were very good and he had made dinner reservations, what I wouldn't have expected to be necessary. Everything went smoothly.

We had a wonderful experience using Nordic Visitor. From the start of planning our adventure to Scotland, the communication before trip was outstanding. The tour itself was well thought out, we saw so many sights that on our own we may have missed. We only wished there were more hours in a day so we could have spent more time in the gorgeous countryside of Scotland (and maybe have done a bit more shopping!).

We really appreciated the small group aspect which we think made the trip more enjoyable. We were able to interact with fellow travellers very easily which added to the overall experience.  

Everything about our Highlights of Scotland tour was exceptional! We were greeted at the Edinburgh Airport by our very friendly airport transfer and taken to our hotel. It was so nice after a long travel from the US to have someone at the airport waiting for us. The transport back to the airport after our tour... another very friendly and entertaining driver! It was everything we hoped it would be and so much more!

We also want to whole heartedly commend Chris in the Edinburgh office for taking such good care of us as we prepared for our Highlights of Scotland tour. We were always well informed of deadlines that needed to be met for the trip. Chris also answered our questions sent by email quickly. We never had to wonder about any of the questions we had in regard to finances, transportation to and from the airport, safety, insurance, what to pack, restrictions if any and adding extra days in Edinburgh after the tour ended. Chris was wonderful. 

We enjoyed the tour, although it was very busy. I would prefer more 2 night stays. Packing up everyday gets old. I would probably choose a longer tour with not so much moving around.

Our self-drive tour was fantastic and definitely the way to go for me.

Nordic Visitor more than met my expectations. Rebecca's pre-trip planning advice was very helpful and clear, and the trip itself went off without a hitch. Accommodation were clean and some of the choices were full of character. I am a generally picky traveller, and it's rare that I am very happy with almost no complaints about a tour operator. I was thoroughly pleased with Nordic Visitor.

As we hoped, a self-drive tour of Scotland was the best way to see the country up close and personal. Driving on the other side of the road was not bad, until Edinburgh; that was a challenge. We met many friendly locals, ate in many great pubs and visited and experienced many beautiful places. It was the trip of a lifetime!

We had a great experience with Nordic Visitor. Magda was communicative and made everything very easy. All our accommodation, tours/excursions, and suggested itinerary items were excellent. They even included a huge map and highlighted the best routes with handwritten notes and recommendations on it for our self-drive tour. It was such a wonderful touch. We booked this trip as a birthday present for my husband and Magda even had a birthday card waiting for him at our first stop. I would (and already have) been raving about Nordic Visitor to our family and friends. We will definitely book with them again.

We had a few hiccups in our travel one being lost luggage. Chris from Nordic Visitor was extremely helpful in adjusting our schedule. Amazing trip otherwise. It was exactly the sort of experience we were looking for.

We had the best time on this tour. We were a little concerned prior to the trip about the roads and driving but with all the guidance we received and the warnings, we found it very easy to work out the passing bays, etc along the way. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip and appreciated the highlights given in the package.

We did the 10-day Scotland tour and everything was amazing. So many memories, we loved the flexibility of driving ourselves and appreciated having the tips from the itinerary to help guide us. We thoroughly enjoyed our self-driving tour of Scotland coordinated by Nordic Visitor. It was very helpful to have the itinerary laid out for us and all of the accommodation arranged ahead of time, while still leaving us the flexibility to use our time in the various locations as we desired. We really feel that we had an excellent overview of all that Scotland has to offer, and were even able to take in a day of Highland Games during our trip (a definite highlight if you can make it work!).

We booked the Highlands & Isle of Skye self-drive tour. Chris was extremely helpful in getting everything planned and kept us well-informed. All of the people we met were extremely friendly, courteous, and helpful. Our tour path enabled us to see just how beautiful of a country Scotland really is. We saw 13 castles, 4 old churches/cathedrals, 3 stone circles, dinosaur tracks and amazing landscapes. We would definitely do it again and are already recommending this trip to our friends and family.

Our tour guide, Dan, and driver were fabulous. Nobody brought up a subject that Dan was not fully prepared for. His wealth of knowledge is an excellent resource in Nordic Visitor.

As first-time visitors to Edinburgh, and senior citizens, our choice to use Nordic Visitor was an excellent one. The welcome package we received at the hotel was really helpful, with our tour vouchers, maps and restaurant recommendations. We would not have known what hotel to select and the one selected for us was perfect. The choice of tours offered was perfect for a 5-day visit. So glad to learn about the Royal Mile and visit the castle. The trip through the Highlands and Loch Ness was beautiful. Our travel agent, Rebecca, always quickly responded to email questions prior to departure. Thank you! Nordic Visitor made our trip easy and rewarding. We were in good hands.

We had both a driver for the tour and 3 extra days in Edinburgh. The driver, Danny, was on time, courteous and knowledgeable. He allowed for changes in the itinerary without a problem. All services provided by Nordic Visitor were excellent, as was all the accommodation.

Nordic Visitor provided the service we wanted: a comprehensive tour of the Scottish islands. All the arrangements were spot on - ferries and accommodation. Everything went to plan, other than the last night when the accommodation would not accept the voucher. This was quickly dealt with on our return home and the money reimbursed.

We did a self-drive tour including the Orkney islands. The entire process from booking to flying home was seamless. Our accommodation was all amazing, especially the B&Bs. Our daily itineraries were great starting points for activities, and none of our days felt rushed or slow. We also appreciated the restaurant and travel guides. Scotland is amazing, and Nordic Visitor made the entire vacation worry-free.

It was very easy working with Nordic Visitor. Most of the B&Bs we stayed at we probably never would have found ourselves. It was great, especially since some were only one-night stays. All accommodation and hosts were great. We would probably stay at all again, except for one. The road map provided was great! Loved the highlighted route & the highlighted points of interest. Having each accommodation location noted on the map was helpful. We'll be keeping the map as a souvenir to show friends & family!

My son and I were guided across Scotland by folks who live there. The itinerary was just what we needed. We covered more territory in ten days, saw several sites per day, and did much more than we might have planned by ourselves. From the friendly folks at the car rental, to the sailors on the ferries, back to the last cab driver in Edinburgh, we were treated so well and in such a friendly manner that we would go again in a heartbeat!

Overall, the trip was wonderful. We really enjoyed the guide with optional places to stop, thought the hotels were nice, and had no trouble with the rental car.

Scotland was a fabulous experience. Everyone we met was so polite and accommodating. The guest house hosts were lovely.

Travelling with Nordic Visitor made our trip stress-free and seamless. We enjoyed all the parts of our trip and appreciated our guide's suggestions for little added adventures along the way. We felt like we fit so much into just one week.

Overall it was very good. However, the itinerary was a bit too optimistic for the time allotted. Being from Canada we are accustomed to driving long hours to reach destinations. However, we were driving for many hours and due to road conditions not going far. I suggest adding additional days to the tour.

We found all of the information given so helpful to plan our days. We stopped at many of the suggested locations and loved all of them. So many hidden gems we wouldn't have otherwise seen or experienced.

We did the self guided tour of Scotland. I wish we had more time to explore this amazing country! It was a new experience for most of us to drive around on our own and be able to control what we saw and it will definitely be a way of travel for us in the future. I think we were able to avoid a large majority or tourist traps this way. Of course, we still visited some, but it was amazing to be able to experience Scotland at our own pace and be able to stop when we wanted. Thank you Nordic Visitor!

Itinerary, rental car, and accommodation were all outstanding. Guest houses and hosts exceeded our expectations.

We liked how the tour was tailored to our interests and we were able to pick and choose what we wanted to see. All of the recommendations along the way were good. We were also glad that we made dinner & castle reservations ahead of time, as advised by Duncan. Duncan answered all of our questions and gave us some good pointers on how to maximise our tour.

We loved everything about our tour with Nordic Visitor. The accommodation was all wonderful, and the itinerary was perfectly balanced with amazing activities without feeling rushed. We loved the flexibility that having our own car afforded us, while still having a list of activities to do each day. We really feel that the value we got for our money was phenomenal, and have already recommended Nordic Visitor to our friends.

I had to contact the after-hours staff on two separate occasions. The staff members were awesome! On one, I didn't leave a message, and she called me back anyway. We were stranded due to a flat tire and she was able to find us a taxi at midnight. Very grateful for her assistance.

I would definitely use Nordic Visitor again. While travelling we sometimes ran into other travellers also using Nordic Visitor and we all agreed we were very happy with our experience. The accommodation provided was all wonderful, with the exception of one which was too tiny. But most were terrific. Probably what impressed me most was the agency's handling of a situation beyond their control. Once they heard, they made new arrangements. No muss - no fuss - no stress.

My only contact with Magda was via email. She was attentive and answered my questions in a timely manner.

We were impressed and pleased from the beginning by Nordic Visitor's flexibility about adding days and, in one case, changing an overnight location. We had planned and reserved an extensive trip throughout Scotland before the Covid pandemic forced our cancellation. Nordic Visitor's tour with our additions came close to what we'd planned without our having to go to all that trouble again. If we'd done the trip on our own, many of our accommodations would not have been as good, we might have paid more, and I'm not sure we'd have done as well keeping up with ferry changes or other issues. We strongly recommend Nordic Visitor.

The best vacation ever!

The accommodation and food were exceptional. The sites we saw and the history explained by our tour guide were just unbelievable. The small coach is the way to travel. We all became friends. 

This was an amazing trip! I can't say enough about the care and detail that went into the planning, the itinerary, the maps, everything! All of the accommodation was perfect (with one exception). Having a car with GPS made getting around so easy (especially when I missed an exit on a roundabout). I would not hesitate to use Nordic Visitor again for a memorable vacation.

The accommodation was all very good and the people very friendly. The route could have been a little better defined as well as certain sights that should be seen.

From communicating with Nordic Visitor, booking my trip, arriving at the airport and be welcomed by our driver Paul, each hotel, every meal, our amazing tour guide, Anita, our drivers, Gary and Stevie… everything was so perfect! It was the most magical trip!

I loved that the option for a self-guided tour was there, but we could also customise things. We didn't have to follow the timeline of anyone else and could explore what/when we wanted, while having guidance and recommendations from experts.

We toured Scotland for two weeks. The accommodation was all lovely, historic boutique hotels. Rebecca came up with a wonderful itinerary for us on relatively short notice.

We really liked the self driving tour concept. We were able to go at our own pace and choose the places we wanted to go on our own schedule. We went to a lot of the suggested sites but also did our share of wandering and found some really amazing things that we didn't even know existed. All of the hotel/B&B staff were really great. They gave dinner suggestions, helped us with restaurant bookings, directions and places to visit. Overall a really great trip and I look forward to using Nordic Visitor for trips to other countries.

It was so convenient to have the logistics already planned for us. The accommodation was all nice and the suggested outings were perfect.

Our trip was absolutely wonderful! Magda was great to work with and helped us through the whole process. Everyone we worked with from the beginning through the end of the trip was absolutely marvellous.

Despite the time difference between the US and Nordic Visitor I found Rebecca to be prompt in responding to my questions. Everything was beautifully presented upon arrival in a bag I found useful while walking around Edinburgh and shopping. Plenty of information for us to enjoy Edinburgh ourselves before heading to the Highlands with our private driver.

I was a solo traveller, not expecting at all to have as much fun as I did. The hosts at the accommodation were extremely friendly and the daily itineraries were very detailed so that one could choose what I preferred. More information (or GPS locations) for the hikes would probably be useful as it took always a bit to find the right location to start the walks. Everything went very well and hosts at the accommodation were fantastic.

For a driving tour, it was a remarkable journey. A way to see the highlights of Scotland that you most likely couldn't see any other way.

The entire experience of booking through Nordic Visitor was flawless. They handled everything necessary for our trip and ensured that the entire process was simple, easy to follow and perfectly laid out. Truly an exceptional trip and experience. The airport transfers were a wonderful option! Each accommodation was unique with its own style and history. Nordic Visitor did a wonderful job scheduling everything and handling all the details.

Our coordinator was amazing. When ferries were cancelled due to weather, Chris rearranged our tour within hours.

We did an extended version of the "Grand Tour of Scotland". It was all we hoped for and everything went as smoothly as silk. All connections were accurate. Every accommodation was expecting us. All the people were wonderful. This was our first trip with a tour company. We usually make these plans ourselves but felt overwhelmed planning for a three-week trip. Nordic Visitor really helped us. We felt a high degree of personal attention to our questions and needs. The staff answered all of our questions during the process of developing the itinerary. We felt as though the staff had first hand experience with all the sites we intended to visit and shared their experiences. We communicated with Nordic Visitor entirely by email. Most replies to email required at least two days, however, the replies were always courteous and thorough and friendly and helpful.

We worked with Chris nine months prior to the trip. He made the process easy and returned emails in a timely manner. Everything he said would be provided was as he said. I highly recommend your company! The accommodations were wonderful, we loved everything! Excellent experience. The car was ready at the rental company, the car was excellent quality. The museum/castle pass worked well and was handy.

We prefer a more leisurely pace so we added 4 days to the original tour so we could spend more time exploring instead of driving and packing up. Nordic Visitor took the hassle out of arranging accommodation and car rental.

I was on the tour of the Scottish Highlands including Skye and overall was very pleased. Both our guides were warm and knowledgeable about the places they drove us. I appreciated the pre-tour service of Eve, our travel consultant. Although I was accompanied by a friend, we only received one map of Scotland and one itinerary.

Everything about our experience was incredible. Each hotel was lovely and accommodating. Every person we met was kind and helpful! Driving through the Scottish countryside was an adventure my husband and I will cherish forever! Super organized, loved the maps and site recommendations! Fantastic guide and equally good driver. Both well informed with good sense of humour. As we were the 'oldies' on the trip with some mobility issues, they were always there willing to help.

We had such an amazing holiday! First time booking a self-drive holiday, but we were put at ease with such great organisation and communication from our very own travel consultant. Rebecca was so friendly and helpful. She was quick to respond to any queries on the trip or happy just to give a bit of advice on best places to eat or the best routes to take. It was great knowing she was on hand to help with anything we needed to make our experience the best. All the accommodation was easy to find and well planned out on each step of our journey. Each hotel/B&B was in a great location with easy access to shops and restaurants, we didn't have to drive anywhere on an evening, we could have a walk about to explore the local area. Staff at the small B&Bs were so welcoming, we did feel right at home. The home cooked Scottish breakfasts were delicious, with lots of options each day. The journey was well planned out, the itinerary was amazing! It was great to have a copy sent before our trip so I could do a bit of my own planning and research on what we would like to see. It was good to have suggestions on sights and places of interest to see each day. We managed to see some wonderful places. The highlighted map was really useful to have on hand. All accommodations were excellent with very friendly hosts. Car rental pickup was very quick and easy and car was excellent. Rebecca was excellent, she took all our requirements and made a personal tour for us. Her attention to detail was excellent.The documents at our first hotel were excellent especially the map with everything marked on for us.

The accommodations mapped out for us were wonderful. All were 3star or higher rated B&Bs and they were all centrally located to attractions and historic landmarks we wanted to see. That fact alone made it really easy for us to walk or drive A short distance to sites or activities we were interested in doing on the trip, which made the experience very enjoyable. Both taxi services hired to pick us up and drop us off from the airport we're amazing as well. The taxi driver picking us up was especially helpful and even gave us a brief driving tour of Edinburgh the first day we arrived.

Our second trip with Nordic Visitor. Recommended friends who went to the Scandinavian countries with Nordic Visitor and they were very satisfied.

All of the hotels had great food and people. Response time was excellent -  Agnes was very attentive. The packets were wonderful, we referred to them constantly. The big map was very helpful as well.

I just loved the scenery and history of Scotland but Rob made the tour. Also it was lovely being in such a small group and travelling in a smaller vehicle with very friendly people. Staying in the beautiful historic places, especially the last hotel were also very special.

We thought the daily itinerary was very well planned - several stops that were never more than 45 minutes from one another and never too overly ambitious. The recommendations for places to stop for refreshments were also very good. The itinerary also distinguished between the 'must see' and the 'if you have time'. It was obvious that the itineray was prepared by someone who was extremely familiar with the sites. We enjoyed the trip immensely. It was better than we hoped it would be.

The map and itinerary provided with the highlights of places we were visiting was so helpful. 

My husband and I wanted to hire a car and travel extensively throughout northern Scotland which included the Orkney Islands, and the other beautiful islands in far northern Scotland. Her diligence in the beginning, answering my questions about seeing ancestral sites, and giving me that info right off the bat is what tipped the scales to go with Nordic Visitor. Seldom do you find something where you feel that you received more value for your hard earned money  than what you spent. Nordic Visitor delivered a near perfect experience at what we consider to be a most reasonable cost. Extensive travel plans including a larger, weather proof map of Scotland, were waiting for us in our hotel along with a personal note from Maria along with her phone number. Communications was excellent throughout our experience. Maria was extremely patient and provided us some very specific options. We own sheep dogs and wanted to see a sheep dog demonstration. No problem! Within 20 minutes, we had the information and directions to a working sheep farm. Perfect.

Hotels were all excellent.  Wonderful service at each place.  Couldn't have been happier. This was a stress free trip because of the planning provided by Annie. I was able to review things to do with our kids so they could pick out the things that they wanted to do and see while visiting Scotland. It was nice to have a list of options to pick from.  Every day was great.  I especially loved the map with the highlighted routes, hotels and points of interest.  While filling up the car, I got out to unfold the entire map and flip it over so we could see the upper section of Scotland.  My daughter told me that people were looking at me as I did this.  I told her they had map envy!

I thought the hotels which were chosen were excellent!  I was also very happy with the planned itinerary.  Christoph was excellent.  He was very receptive to questions and always got back to me.  I can't wait to book with Nordic Visitor NEXT summer!

The self-drive tour was wonderful for us. It meant that we did not have to plan ourselves, and were advised of the best things to see along the way. However we still had the freedom to chose other things. All the accommodation was fantastic. Friendly welcoming staff/hosts and great food.

The tour was very well organised and everything went very smoothly. The hire car was excellent (essentially brand new). All of the services provided were of a good standard. We thoroughly enjoyed our Scottish holiday, and many thanks to Christoph for his assistance.

This vacation was our honeymoon. We had just got married in the states a few days prior to the start of our trip. We had the most incredible experience. Everything was just wonderful. Working with our travel agent, Maria, for months prior, could not have been a better experience. She was so helpful, always quick to respond, answered all of my (many!) questions with great detail, and was so friendly. My sister secretly reached out to her to choose a restaurant to treat us to dinner for the last night of our trip, and Maria's suggestion was perfect. I especially loved the folder we received upon arrival that included vouchers for each day. This was helpful to enter in the destination to the car's GPS to help us get around. This vacation was our honeymoon. We had just got married in the states a few days prior to the start of our trip. We had the most incredible experience. Everything was just wonderful. Working with our travel agent, Maria, for months prior, could not have been a better experience. She was so helpful, always quick to respond, answered all of my (many!) questions with great detail, and was so friendly. My sister secretly reached out to her to choose a restaurant to treat us to dinner for the last night of our trip, and Maria's suggestion was perfect. I especially loved the folder we received upon arrival that included vouchers for each day. This was helpful to enter in the destination to the car's GPS to help us get around. The hotels/guesthouses booked were fantastic. The hosts at each location were incredibly welcoming and made our stay wonderful. Our contact at Nordic Visitor, Christoph, was thorough and helpful in accommodating needs for our trip and was a great help in planning the trip. I am thrilled to use Nordic Visitor for my Scandinavian travels. This was our third tour using the company and I can't rave enough about how great the trips have been. I recommend Nordic Visitor to all friends and colleagues interested in traveling to supported countries.

The self-driving tour planned for us was everything I'd hoped, with a wonderful range of destinations and accommodations throughout. In every case, arrangements were what we would have chosen, had we planned this trip ourselves!

Gabby was very efficient and helpful. Everything was organised and clearly written in the notes. A GPS was a necessity for us and was well worth adding to your package.We wanted a later ferry from the Orkneys, as the 6am first ferry was just too early. That was all organised as part of the package. The car was ready to be picked up and we got away easily. The map with all sorts of places to see was a bit cumbersome but was so useful, we had it folded with our tour book and used it constantly. The times for the days drives were clear and helpful. The comfort plus accommodation was all comfortable, clean, staff and B&B owners were all friendly and helpful, great breakfasts set us up for the day.

We were very pleased with the customized tour Magda helped us design. The overnight accommodations were all wonderful and charming as were the restaurants. Magda was responsive and timely. We will use this company again.

Absolutely every moment of this tour was extremely well-planned, giving us the flexibility and freedom to create an itinerary and explore as we wanted without having to worry about planning our auto rental, accommodations (all of which were first-rate), ferry booking, and many other details that would have made planning much more burdensome. We were especially impressed by how well Nordic Visitor handled an unexpected issue with one of our accommodations; we were booked into another property before we even arrived at the property that was experiencing the issue, and the transition was completely seamless. From our initial contact with our travel consultant until we returned from our trip, our experience could not have been any better.

Our travel consultant set the itinerary up seamlessly. The travel guide and driver were both fantastic. Was a small group and they did their best to keep everybody engaged. Accommodations were comfortable, clean. Meals were great.

We had a fabulous trip in Scotland thanks to Nordic Visitor! Our guide John and driver John were amazing, taking time to give us history, cultural and local perspectives. They both had excellent senses of humor and abundant patience with our group. The hotels were very welcoming and comfortable. We were able to spend time meeting local people and sharing a dram of whisky and many laughs. Nordic was very responsive both before and during our trip to answer our questions and arranging last minute transportation.

Dan our guide was amazing with all his knowledge history and humor. He made us feel at ease even though this was our first guided tour trip. We felt very safe with Dan as he lead us to sites, gave us suggestions of lunch places to choose from, he gave us free time but was visible. Group pictures were a nice touch. Nice Dave our first driver ask me how my seat was sense I let you know I get car sick. Dan even suprised us by stopping at the Prendergast's bar. Nice touch that we got to eat together. The hotels were fantastic and their food and service were great. The bus was comfortable, clean and charging outlets were a plus. Dave made us feel safe. We were busy every day. Looking to do Iceland with you next.

We had excellent service from our travel consultant, Magdalena, to plan all aspects of before and after the trip, she was always available to answer our questions. The tour was exactly what we were looking for, as part of a longer holiday. The hotels were all lovely, and of a really good standard. We had a fantastic tour guide in Barbara, and excellent driver in John. Only having 10 on our tour meant we had space in the bus to spread out and be really comfortable. John and Barbara brought all their local knowledge to the tour, and not only did we complete our itinerary, but had options for extra things if we wanted.

The designed itinerary and informational booklet was really great! It provided a very detailed resource which we constantly utilized during our trip.

Our self-drive tour through Scotland was absolutely wonderful. We loved every trip detail arranged through my travel consultant. We loved our trip to Scotland. Every detail was meticulously plotted out. The accommodations were very good and the bed and breakfast hosts were all very nice. I could not find fault in any bit of advice on what to do in Scotland. We had a small issue with our flight and arrival time and customer service was print and effective in managing our issue. It was all very worth the money

Jana made planning our first trip to Scotland and Ireland a breeze. We opted for the self drive tour and loved the freedom and flexibility that brought us, while still having the confidence and support of our travel consultant. We were offered many suggestions for sites to see and activities to do in each of our stops, we loved the security of knowing our accommodations would be comfortable, and to have our transportation including rental cars, ferry crossing, and flight between Scotland and Ireland handled for us.

Michelle got back with me quickly when I had a question. The guides and drivers were excellent and fun. No waiting around to get into our nice accommodations. All the activities were interesting. I learned a lot! I loved the Giants Causeway!

My friend and I went on the Wonders of Scotland trip, and it was incredible. The tour guide, Dave, and driver, John, went above and beyond and were so engaging throughout the entire experience. Nordic Tours did a wonderful job of laying out the trip, and Dave and John were an incredible complement to our experience. I am still daydreaming about the locations I must revisit and that pizza that I have to come back for! I loved the size of the group (15) and how Dave added the information our group wanted to learn more about. While you will spend some time in the luxury van, you get to see some amazing landscapes. I will be booking a future trip with Nordic Visitor!

This was our first Nordic tour and we were very satisfied with the trip. Our tour guide Dan was fantastic and kept us entertained for the whole trip. In addition, both drivers (Dave in Scotland and Adrian in Ireland) were equally great drivers and got us to our stops safely and timely. Our accommodations were very comfortable and above average. All of our breakfasts and dinners together were great.

Nordic Visitor took the stress out of planning our holiday by doing it all for us and personalising to our needs. We took the Wonders of Scotland Tour 7days/6nights.Our travel consultant , Laurie provided necessary information and answered questions promptly. The tour itself visited many of the beautiful spots in Scotland. Our tour guide Barbara and driver John were excellent. Provided a fun and meaningful tour. The tour was busy, but as described in the itinerary. Our vehicle was very comfortable , clean, and new.Overall I found the accommodations to be very good. Meals provided were good. Meals at Hame on Sky were amazing. This is my second tour with Nordic and I was not disappointed. We added additional days in Edinburgh and Glasgow which I strongly recommend.

Very professional, our tour guide was fabulous as was our driver. We made several stops each day to various sites, some noted in the itinerary and some not. The mini bus we had was very comfortable for travel. We always had a group breakfast and dinner which allowed us to get to know our fellow travelers better. There were always three choices (meat, fish, vegetarian) for dinner and meals were all very good. Breakfasts were either buffet or a selection from the breakfast menu. We had full days leaving our hotel at 9, and usually back between 5:30 and 6:00, leaving some time to freshen up before 7:00 dinner.

I very much enjoyed our tour of Scotland and Ireland. The tour guide was personable and knowledgeable. The van was comfortable. I appreciated being in a smaller group than other tours I have been on. The accommodations were top notch overall

The service provided by Chris was outstanding. Thee pre-tour communications were great, as they gave us time to plan our daily activities prior to our arrival. Chris was quick to respond to our questions, and his responses were complete and very helpful. That included communications while we were in Scotland. The vehicle was just right for us. The nightly accomodations were varied and all were very ennjoyable - especially the private homes. The activities defined were all enjoyable, but personally, I could have done without the two scotch tastings - something my kids apparently enjoyed.

Everything was fantastic. The recommended itinerary allowed us to pick and choose what we wanted to do to fit our interests. Accommodations were perfect, comfortable and our to and from transport to the airport was immaculate.

Everything was well organized.The tips on where to eat, what to book ahead and where to go were very helpful. In some places the standard tour was a little rushed so suggesting optional extra nights would have been useful. In our case an extra night between Inverness and Orkney would have been great.

My friend and did a 12 day self-driving tour all around Scotland. We worked with Zachary, who did a wonderful job planning our general itinerary, made great hotel reservations for each night, and arranged the car rental and Loch Ness cruise. We made our own dinner reservations, which was necessary to have so that we had a nice meal every night. Other than that we did our research and made our own reservations for other stops: castles, Balmoral, Culloden and more! We had no problems at all other than a flat tire at the northern tip of the Isle of Skye. It was a great adventure for two 68 year old gals!

Great trip to Scotland with no negatives to speak of. Our travel consultant, Duncan, was totally responsive to our needs. We received maps and books with suggestions for the trip that laid out routes with possible alternatives. The car rental was easy and when we had a flat tire on a country road (no spare), we received service quickly and were back on the road in no time. Driving was a bit challenging, what with the narrow roads. We were impressed by the quality of the B&Bs. Some variety in service and accommodation, but all were clean and offered great breakfasts. Hosts were always helpful, suggesting restaurants and things to see.

We would highly recommend the private tour. The driver was so knowledgeable about things to do in each area of Scotland we visited. Our guide and driver made the trip better because he was easy to talk to and made us laugh! The guest house accommodations were just okay, most lacking comfortable beds. Communication with Nordic was fantastic and was flawless.

The self driving tour was excellent. We added some days at the begining and ending of the driving portion of the tour which was beneficial on our part. Our Travel Consultant was pleasant and helpful, the response time was good. Hotels were good, even the ones we didn't upgrade. Really appreciated the Airport shuttle service to & from the airport. The drivers were exceptional. We liked that everything including the tours we took were already booked. Made for smooth sailing for our group. We enjoyed the tour and the service that we received and will book another tour thru your site/company. As an aside: Many of the hotels that we stayed in had positive comments on your company. Magda, our personal travel consultant was great! She was thorough, responsive and patient. We had to cancel our trip for medical reasons and she and Vero made the rebooking easy. She was very accommodating and we enjoyed working with her. The Scotland Guide was great, with lots of detail of what we were going to see, and the map, which highlighted our route and the places we were staying was very helpful. Sometimes the day by day itinerary of what we could see was a bit aggressive and not realistic - things take longer and some days we had to forego some of the suggested stops/sights.

All the planning is done by Nordic Visitor and all you have to do is show up. It was a wonderful trip, amazing sites, beautiful accommodations and a funny, knowledgeable guide.

Maya and John were a perfect match and outstanding hosts! A lot of driving, so many beautiful things to see and experience. I would suggest it to anyone looking to see Scotland. 

This was the first organized tour we have taken. We were really impressed with the small group concept. We got to see so many more places than the big 50-person tour buses. The hotels were quaint and charming. Our guide Barbara was wonderful. She had a great grasp of everything about Scotland. The printed materials were excellent. The two scotch tastings were great. We enjoyed having haggis for breakfast.

The tour director and driver both were extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

Fantastic trip,the quality of the stays provide to be excellent. Only slight downer was in Harris with no hot water in shower. The various travel consultants we had (due to COVID delay) did a great job even amending the route to suit us. The hosts all were brilliant. Thanks for a really enjoyable holiday.

Nordic is awesome. We travelled to Dublin and joined a fun small group (14 plus Mary, our guide). Our transfers went off without a hitch. Mary was informed and took care of everyone. We then fly to Scotland where we were driven by Pete, our driver and guide. Again, an outstanding guide and driver.

Accommodations were great! The ferry inn had the best food. The whispering pines had the best rooms and views. The skye lodge had the best beds and hospitality. The driving tour was the best way to see Scotland because the scenery is amazing.

This was our 2nd tour with NV. Scotland was awesome. Accommodations were great. Nice that you pre reserved meals at Skye. But the real star was Stewart our tour driver!! He is a Super Star!! Great 2 weeks.

The pre-organisation was superb! upon our arrival in Edinburgh, everything was prepared and waiting for us at our hotel. This included a well marked map, excellent brochure of our itinerary, all the necessary vouchers and advice as to what could be 'added to' each day as we progressed around Scotland. We followed a route that gave us a wonderful variety of landscapes as well as some interesting accommodation options.

The tour was great. We booked a self drive and everything we had per-booked, from hotels to car rentals and excursions was handled without worries. Magda did a great job answering all our questions prior to our arrival and Chris was able to modify our itinerary when we arrived late due to a flight cancellation. All the hotels and B&Bs were outstanding. This is the second time we have used Nordic Visitor and will do so again.

I had read through a lot of the reviews before booking with Nordic. I picked them because of their excellent reviews and I'm happy I did! Chris, our travel consultant was excellent! He was so nice and helpful. We had paid for the private transport to and from the hotel/airport and Sean was our driver. He was so nice/ friendly and informative. The accommodations were all lovely! The hosts were so nice and welcoming.The rental car service was excellent as well, again nothing but friendly service. We had booked ahead of time was the Lochness cruise, do it! It was fun, then we booked other activities the night before as we planned our events and travel for the day. We had an amazing holiday and would book again through Nordic!

Nordic Visitor was very helpful and easy to deal with, even though we were engaging from NZ, on the other side of the world. Duncan sorted everything without any fuss, which we simply could not have done remotely. All communications were clear and prompt. The information package arrived with plenty of time to absorb and ask questions (if we had any). Everything on the schedule went like clockwork, with Duncan advising a change in ferry timetable as soon as it happened, ensuring we did not waste any time. The accommodation was (mostly) good, noting that some locations were pretty tight. The recommendations for activities and points of interest were great - local knowledge gave us experiences we might otherwise have missed.

Everything went to plan and everything we were told to expect happened just as expected. Our documentation, map and guides were very helpful (we now wish the guides were available to us before arrival because they contained more detail than the website). The suggested sites were both helpful and a great representation of Scotland. Overall we were overjoyed with our trip.

Our Scotland tour, arranged by Duncan, was an exceptionally great experience. From pick up to drop off at the aiport, all things were in order and our accomodations were very nice. Lovely taxi service with drivers Steven and Peter. Motel One was a great place to start our journey and we ended at the Ibis in new town, but it could have easily been in reverse. Everything in Edinburgh is accessible if you walk. Sandra at Arnold Clark car rental was such a help as we braved the idea of driving on the left side. There were too many places to see in our short visit, but we gave it our best shot. The ridiculously large map lined out our route and all sights along the way.

Nordic visitor was very responsive in putting our itinerary together and customised our trip for our requirements. The comfortable accommodation was very well located with easy access to public transport and also centrally located.

This was such a great adventure for us on our 20th! Amazing tours and time to roam around the city on our own! We fell in love with the people and cannot wait to go back!

We enjoyed the tour very much. We would not sign up for any tour package as we found we really just wanted to explore on our own and choose what we did by the weather and how far we had to drive each day. The weather, which did not bother us a bit, did slow us down a time or two! Driving was really quite easy. The map you provided us with was excellent, but barely survived, we taped it up a time or two. The car rental process was easy. We loved all our accommodation. Each was unique and special in its own way. Standouts were the two in Edinburgh. Great locations and breakfasts. Another standout was in Ullapool - cozy and lovely and a fabulous sitting area and views. We truly enjoyed the whole trip. We have already told numerous friends about your services and hope to return someday on another trip. Cheers. Haste ye back!

Absolutely stunning tour! The cost to value was amazing, for a 10-day trip around the entire country it was so affordable. Our car rental was great, it gave us the room to tour around on our own time with optimal fuel efficiency. I filled up maybe twice. Our accommodation were impeccable. Each place was well kept, comfortable and the hosts/staff were incredibly kind. The extra tours we booked like the food and wine tour and Loch Ness cruise were wonderful additions to our touring and super fun. The entire tour was breathtaking, our guide gave us the most amazing options that we could tailor to our daily needs depending on how much driving, sightseeing, hiking, etc. we wanted to do.

The tour was planned out so that we had the flexibility to stop and check out sites related to our interests. We had time to make it to our next accommodation while stopping along the way.

Our trip was absolutely amazing! It was great to be able to leave the more difficult parts of travelling to the experts. We were satisfied with almost all of the places where we had stayed. Our favourite accommodation was The Marmalade Hotel. The facility was beautiful and clean. The staff was super friendly and made our stay even better. One thing to call out about Portree is the lack of places to eat. Not sure how we missed this but we were completely unaware that we needed reservations at any restaurant prior to arriving in Portree. Other than a couple of hiccups, we absolutely loved our trip.

We found Nordic Visitor from online search in Australia. Our travel agent hadn't heard of the company, but we proceeded in any case as the self-drive tour was what we wanted. It turned out to be the best decision we had made. Chris was very helpful from day 1 of our contact, and was even able to adjust the self drive as we had already made plans for the Edinburgh portion. Chris even provided us with some suggested day options for the 5 days we had already booked. We met Chris in person in their offices and he was very helpful and explained any questions we had. Have and will continue to recommend this company for any travellers to the Nordic regions.

We enjoyed having the flexibility to go were we wanted without having to hurry to our next location. The food at our accommodations was very good and the staff were very friendly. We didn't receive our vouchers or mapped routes when we arrived and had to do a little of our own mapping and tour itinerary. Overall was a great experience and would recommend this service.

We selected Nordic after interviewing several companies and are generally very pleased with the service received. We appreciated their help in customising our trip and providing information.

Our guide was both knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the history of the places we visited. He kept me and my brother both interested and entertained. Tour guide Dan was appropriately concerned about my safety as I use a cane and have some balance issues. However, he accepted my assurance that I could navigate the paths and I appreciated that respect. Requests at hotels (for non-slip bath mats and extra blankets) were always fulfilled without difficulty. 

Edinburgh to Glasgow via Isle of Skye. Scenery amazing. Bus comfortable and skilfully driven. Guide friendly, fairly knowledgeable, if a bit verbose. Had some good jokes. At other times, perhaps less commentary would have been more. When the rare organisation glitch occurred, she really shone: sorting out quickly, finding good alternatives to items suddenly not available, and such like. Enjoyed the tour. Learned some new things. 

On reflection, we would choose a tour with perhaps fewer stops, but with more opportunity for informed individual exploration. Will keep an eye on Nordic Visitor site, as found it an excellent provider.

We were very pleased with the service and product offered by Nordic Visitor. Chris, our travel cosultant, was very attentive. Our actual guides, Peter and Caralina, were excellent. Nordic Visitor may not be the cheapest, but they did deliver, as promised.

The accomodations were superb!

Eve did an excellent job of planning our itinerary as well as the hotels, rental car, ferries and suggestions for a few meals as well as activities. The travel documents were very clear and the map was exceptional with travel routes marked and hotels listed. We were provided with the Historic Environment Scotland Explorer Pass but we found very few opportunities to use it. We have travelled with Nordic Visitor in Iceland and now Scotland and found the services to be exceptional. We will use Nordic Visitor again in the future.

The service provided by Magda and the Nordic Visitor team was nothing short of amazing. We could not find this level of service within our own country. We were able to pick a package and then customise to suit our wants and needs with no trouble at all. Magda was very accommodating in last-minute arrangements. Absolutely blown away by how smooth a 20+ day road trip with daily accommodation changes and ferries to 4 isles came together.

Nordic Visitor accommodated our requested itinerary changes with out hesitation. We travelled as a family to many places that we have always wanted to visit; however, didn't know how to fit them all in 2 weeks. We have been promoting Nordic to friends and family (even though we are still travelling) essentially telling them that we packed bags and turned up at a hotel and everything was arranged for us. We really enjoyed our trip. The map and itinerary were well-designed. We were able to see and do a lot, but the amount of driving each day was reasonable with well-planned stops. The highlights and restaurant recommendations were mostly spot-on.

We had really great experiences with each B&B we stayed at but Gail at Dionard Guest House was especially lovely. If I were to go back I may stay there half the time then go back to the Isle of Skye for the rest of the time. It's just breathtaking there! Thank you Nordic Visitor!

It was truly excellent. It was so nice to not worry about much and to have things laid out beforehand with options. Duncan was so helpful when I asked questions about live music along our tour, pointing us in the direction of places to hear and find out about live music. It was also great to have a list of recommended restaurants from which to pick. It took a lot of the guesswork out of a very important part of our daily experience.

We loved Scotland and we felt the tour company provided us with a comfortable vehicle and very nice accommodation with some exceptions. We felt the itinerary could have been better. Originally our special requests for the itinerary (Harry Potter sites) were left out and had to be added. Also we found the information for some areas such as Glencoe wasn't sufficient. We had trouble with the directions on where to park and it wasn't easy finding restaurants in some areas (such as when we drove to the viaduct). We did find that Magda was very prompt and helpful at replying to questions and concerns. We really had a wonderful time and are glad we used Nordic Visitor, but the four of us agree that the things mentioned in this review could be improved on.

Duncan was amazing to work with, super responsive and kind. Want to thank him for arranging everything, and being flexible mid tour to accommodate us when we had a request for change of venue. The rental car was great and we added upgrades for a more personalised experience that fit seamlessly into the original plans. The itinerary provided for us was used throughout the trip, as well.

I'm not a very experienced traveller, but your services took away so much of the stress surrounding all the unknowns of travel. Everything was taken care of in advance, laid out beautifully, was very user-friendly, complete with options to choose from. I was a little nervous about how long it took to get the complete booking information, but once we were there and doing the tour I saw why! It was so well-put-together.

It was an amazing trip! My husband and I took the Highlights of Scotland tour in July and had a wonderful time! Our tour guide, Andy, was amazing. His knowledge of Scotland was top notch and kept us informed throughout the entire tour. Andy educated us on Scotland history, shared delightful stories and enlightened us with Scottish culture. The accommodation were all so nice. Each one a bit different, but comfortable and lovely. Each place had helpful and respectful staff. Our bus was very comfortable, lots of room and great windows for the amazing views of Scottish scenery. The drivers were great. So glad they were driving us around the country.

Wonderful time, the beautiful scenery was spectacular. The hotel on the Isle of Skye was not the best. The driver Tim and tour guide Nick were great! Very funny and went out of their way to give us a great experience! Would love to see an Outlander tour of Scotland.

Overall experience was excellent. Great educational and cultural understanding opportunity for both the two adults and 18-year-old grand-daughter in this party. We attribute all the unexpectedly high level of service we received to our association with a Nordic Visitor.

Our airport transfer was absolutely incredible and we loved all of our tours. We had two accommodation choices that were less than stellar, but that didn't put a dampner on our trip. This was my 2nd Nordic Visitor vacation, and you really make it so easy! We had a great time and will continue to use Nordic Visitor in our future travels.

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the guided tour of the Wonders of Scotland. Our tour guide and driver were exceptional in their roles regarding knowledge, safety and humorous dispositions. We made many wonderful memories with our family! The views and service at all the accommodation were wonderful.

Most of the hotels were amazing. The rooms were wonderful and the breakfasts were delicious.

Overall, we were happy with the tour. We especially liked the page for each day that had the suggestions of what to do in that area. We did so much hiking and relied on the suggested hikes on that sheet. We had not researched ahead except for a few "must-see" sights so it was very helpful to have the highlights for each area layed out for our needs.

We took this trip with another couple and it was a great experience. Never having travelled to Scotland, it took some time to figure out exactly what we wanted to see and do. However, we managed to put together a plan for each day, some ahead of time and sometimes spur of the moment. Isle of Skye had to be our favorite area, and I so wish we could have stayed overnight in Oban area as that is a hidden jewel.

Nordic Visitor (specifically our travel consultant, Eve) was very responsive to our needs. We loved having alternatives on each day's itinerary. We are not as young as we used to be, but we still love travel, and being able to do each day at our own pace was essential for us. We loved the variety of accommodation.

Our private tour guide, Pete, was phenomenal, and all of our accommodation was great! My husband is disabled and Nordic Visitor took every needed step to ensure our B&Bs could take care of his needs.

Early in our tour, our ferry to Orkney had to be rebooked due to issues with Pentland. We were not in a good service area to get that information on the day that Nordic Visitor tried to contact us. The changes were sent to our accommodation that evening and everything went smoothly. All accommodation was great. They were clean, had great breakfasts and were located in beautiful settings.

Great way to see the country. All the upfront planning done by Nordic Visitor so we could just enjoy the experience. Having a hire car allowed us to see what we wanted to see.

Our experience was great, from prior to booking on through to the actual tour. Duncan took care of all of our questions and added an Underground Vaults tour for us at time of booking. In our small tour group, some of the folks had used Nordic Visitor in the past and had such a great experience they were using them again. We will be doing the same. It was a trip of a lifetime and went way beyond our hopes or expectations for what we saw and were able to experience.

This is the second we have travelled with Nordic Visitor and it was a fantastic trip again.

We selected the Scottish Highlands & Isle of Skye self-drive tour and it was perfect for us. We liked that Nordic Visitor arranged hotels and the rental car for us, but we were free to pick what sights we wanted to see in between. This was actually a rescheduled trip from 2022 and the team made it so easy to transfer over our balance and reschedule. They were attentive to any upgrades/changes we wanted to make and made it so easy. Would 100% recommend using them.

We did a self drive tour with Nordic Visitor and we were not disappointed. Being able to pick and choose what we wanted to do made our trip special. Travelling through Scotland at our own timeframe allowed us to make our trip ours versus having to follow a group. The itinerary suggestions made by Nordic Visitor were very good. Their overall trip planning was exceptional.

Having now travelled twice with Nordic Visitor, we have been very happy with the whole experience and have already booked a self-drive tour of Iceland for next year.

Loved our trip! I had never travelled abroad and this was absolutely the best way to do so. Extremely easy to understand what the tour would include and what to expect. Beautiful accommodation with local recommendations, great vegetarian options. When there was an issue with our check-in at our last hotel, it was handled swiftly with minimal impact, very professional staff. We felt safe everywhere we went, our tour guide was phenomenal and we saw such incredible sights. This tour was a great way to see as much as the country as we could in the time we had, and I would not hesitate to book again!

Our guide did a fantastic job finding smaller stops that met our interests as a group when time allowed. We spent quite a bit of time travelling in the van to reach our destinations each day but the places we visited were worth the trip for me. Beautiful country and kind, gracious people.

We booked our tour of Scotland with Nordic Visitor based on a past experience on a tour in Iceland. We loved both of them. The itinerary was well planned and covered a lot of different parts of the country. Guides were well informed and lots of fun. Our hotels were top-notch. Going on a small group tour was much better than trying to do the drive ourselves. We could relax and enjoy the scenery, something we could not have done if we had to concentrate on driving.

Our honeymoon exceeded our expectations not only because Scotland's natural beauty, but in large part to the amazing planning and service we received from our travel agent, Annie! She was so helpful and provided very quick and agile responses to every question we had. And during our trip she even had to make a last minute accommodation change for us on Islay, as our original B&B cancelled on our stay a couple nights in advance. She made arrangements for us at another hotel all within the same day. And on top of that Christoph also helped to set up a distillery tour for us when we arrived at Islay. Those are only a couple small examples of what amazing service and planning that Annie and her team gave us. I can't sing Annie's praises enough, she was a gem to work with.

Every accommodation was stunning! We were met with enthusiasm and kindness and courtesy. I cannot say enough about our trip and the way it was set up and the accommodations. Everything was spot on and it was the trip of a lifetime for my sister and I. We already have friends who have booked a trip through Nordic as well. I am seriously considering another trip to Scotland next year and using Nordic for sure.

All accommodations were fantastic in both Scotland and Iceland. Car rentals pickup and drop off were great. Loved the Audi A5 Sport in Scotland. Transfers from Glasgow airport and Keflavik airport were very professional. Ferry crossing was very nice. My wife and I are very impressed with our Scotland and Iceland vacation and will definitely be booking through Nordic Visitor for our future trips.

I was a little bit worried about using an online tour company I had never heard about but Nordic Visitor blew away any fears right from the start. Christoph made me feel like he would take care of everything and he did!!! We couldn't have asked for a better family holiday in Scotland!! Christoph was fabulous at getting back in touch when I emailed him. I never had to wait more than a day even with the time difference to the U.S. The accommodations were fantastic! Our hosts made us feel right at home and the accommodations were comfortable.

"Very Good" comes short of describing my trip! This was probably my top, most favorite trip every and I travel a lot. The B&Bs and hotels were excellent and I chose the standard. My itinerary was well planned making it so easy to just enjoy everything. The detailed guide book also was a great help in offering suggestions of thing not to miss. My deepest appreciation to Annie not only for planning this outstanding trip, but also her "above and beyond" service dealing with my luggage which the airline had lost.

The hotels included in our packages were fantastic.  Lovely, well kept, clean rooms; helpful , accomodating staff.  All the breakfasts we had were great, good selection.  Annie was so great to work with.  She promptly answered any email requests/questions with very helpful information.  Very personal service.

It was so great to have suggestions along the route! And we really appreciated how stress free the whole process was. It can be overwhelming traveling in another country, and this was just perfect.

We have just arrived back from a most memorable and enjoyable trip which you organised for us. Right from the beginning of our email correspondence, we have been impressed by the quality, dedication and effort you have put into making our tour of Scotland enjoyable. Whilst I thought that two days on Skye would be far too long, it was just right. The overall experience exceeded our expectations. We loved the attention to detail.  Annie obviously understood what type of planning we wanted. We were able to be spontaneous if we saw something that we wanted to include.  Many of the owners of accommodations told us how happy they were to be working with Nordic Visitors.  The travel guide was sturdy, survived the trip in one piece, even served as a plate for our lunches eaten in the car as we would return from a walk.  We took scotch tape along to mend the map, it's pretty big to handle in the car.  And a highlighter to add stops and reminders to help us when we start putting our pictures together.  But, the travel guide will be the most helpful when it comes to putting our travel album together.  

The places we stayed at were so very nice.  I don't know how we would rank them.  The owners were so very nice and helpful.  Giving us directions and making recommendations on dinners and even making reservations for us.  The locations of the accommodations were usually within walking distance of village centers.  Picking up our rental car was speedy and well organized.  A new car was ready for us and they took the time to go over key points of the car.

Thank you for being there through all of our questions in preparation for our trip and for organizing such lovely documentation providing us with plenty of options to do on our tour around Scotland.

Brian provided us daily bonus stops in addition to the planned itinerary. I loved that we didn't hit all the usual crowded tourists stops! 

We thoroughly appreciated and enjoyed our guide's knowledge and expertise. Brian was extremely informative, patient, and entertaining. He was very considerate of the fact that we were 2 active but older women. He was also very kind to other travellers who realized he was a guide and would stop him to ask advice. Although this was to be my only trip to Scotland, thanks to his influence and fascinating instruction on the Highlands and Highlanders, I know I need to see more. I would let Nordic Visitor give more advice on the tour must sees. We met with the Edinburgh office staff - Maria, Anna, and Kris - after our tour was done, again Brian going above and beyond to bring us to meet them, days after our tour was over. I cannot say enough good things about all the help they gave us.

Magda did an excellent job! Everything was taken care of without a problem as soon as we arrived and all accomodations were first class. Every B&B host was ready for our arrival and so was the hotel. The packet had a great map of the country with everything we wanted to see highlighted and all overnight stops located on the map. There was never a hitch!

Communication was fantastic pre-trip. Accomodations were spot on.

Our Ultimate 28 Day Scotland & Ireland vacation arranged through Nordic Visitor was absolutely amazing. The Nordic team arranged all our accommodation, our chosen activities & attractions and provided us with a detailed daily itinerary along with maps, restaurant and tourist guides, car rentals and air transfer between Scotland & Ireland. We used all this information daily. All our accommodations were first class. We also experienced a medical emergency during our travels that altered our schedule and the Nordic team; (Michelle, Adele, Chris & Duncan) were there to assist us during and after office hours. Magda was great; She kept me apprised of my overall trip with regard to accommodations and things I might want to check out. I spent a couple of nights researching the things I wanted to see and got reservations for most of them, using Trip Advisor and Get Your Guide. Excursions went well. All the places we stayed at were run well. Customer service overall was really good; We didn't have any problems and got back safely. Timing on Sundays in Aberdeen and Ft. William were lacking because everything shut down in the afternoon, but we managed. Going for a little more than two weeks kind of wore us down. Maybe next time we'd go for 7-10 days. instead and stay at one location for 3+ days/nights. Rental car was good and comfortable.

We've traveled with Nordic Visitor before and they haven't disappointed. They did a great job on our Scotland trip, just as they did when we visited Iceland. Jana was always very responsive when we had questions. And the accommodations they chose for us were excellent and fun.

Nordic Visitor set up all of our accommodations for our trip and everything went off without a hitch. Our personal travel consultant was very responsive and eager to help with anything we needed. The B&B's and Guesthouses we were placed in were very nice and accommodating.

This was a surprise package tour. We were delighted with the thoroughness of the curating achieved by Nordic Visitor. Very good itinerary, good choice of BnB's (several were outstanding) , visit suggestions were achievable and overall a very helpful team. The big detailed map was just great.

Great guide and driver both were so knowledgeable of history, sites, people, lots of surprises. The tour is extensive- and go go every day- Hard to factor in some down time because there is so much to see in Scotland. Bus could have been a tad larger to give a bit more space. Really appreciate and respect the "no discussing politics" request at the onset- served everyone well. Hotels chosen were amazing- as were the meals - with honorable mention to Hame Hotel on Isle of Skye. We loved every minute of this tour- Our guide Barry really does deserve special mention- he went out of his way to accommodate everyone/threw in delicious surprises, and special stops…. LOVE HIM.

This was the perfect tour of Scotland! The itinerary was varied and hit all the highlights. Booking the tour as well as the ground transportation was easy. Our guide Dave and driver John were exceptional. The hotels were all very nice, especially Hame House on Skye. I would highly recommend this tour and Nordic Visitor in general to everyone. Tour guide was extremely knowledgeable & the accommodations & meals at the hotels were very good.

The tour guides in Scotland and Ireland were the best. They gave us historical information about each area or stop and shared personal stories which made it better. They both were very professional and had great senses of humor. They answered our many questions or found the answers. They helped us register in each hotel and found great restaurants for us. When we had any minor problems, they helped us solve the issue. Our drivers did a professional job getting us to each tour site or hotel safely and efficiently. Our tour group was great. We bonded quickly and we made lifelong friends.The only recommendation I would make is to avoid hotels without a lift. Older travelers have a harder time climbing stairs with heavy luggage.

I like the concept of a personal driving tour with planning help. Nordic Visitor helped us see sights we wouldn't have seen on our own.

Laurianne and Chris were wonderful to work with. They made everything so easy and took the stress out of planning. I told them what I was looking for and they made it happen, even adding extra days before and after the package that I asked for. As the trip got closer I needed to make some adjustments and they responded within a day, and their great partnerships allowed them to make it happen. If you want a stress free trip I highly recommend Nordic Visitor to make that happen! If I go to one of the other countries they support I will definitely use them again.

We used Nordic Visitor for a two week driving tour of Scotland, I would use them again. Duncan was our advisor and was able to customize the trip and tailor it to our interests. We wanted to see a lot of the country but not spend all day simply driving by sites. Duncan came up with an excellent itinerary covering both city (Edinburgh) and the spectacular countryside and coasts along with excellent suggestions for things to visit along the route each day. The hotels were all great and in excellent locations and restaurant recommendation list was helpful. The auto rental they set us up was good too. The highlighted itinerary map is a great souvenir and was useful as a tool as we made final plans each day,

The tour was amazing from the get go. Starting with Magadelena. Very organized without overloading with emails. Tour guide Dave made our trip magical with his knowledge, fun spirit and kept us moving. We did have two nights in Isle of Sky hotel and both nights had no hot water. That was the only negative, however the food prepared for us there made up for it- amazing food. John, our driver, was professional, comical, and we all loved him. This is a great tour -moving us all over Scotland. I would take another Nordic visitor tour on our next trip to Europe. Great job with this company. But Dave, our kilt wearing tour guide, was the star of this tour. We thank the whole professional team at Nordic Visitor.

Great trip from the very start of planning. Our travel consultant quickly responded when we had any questions, and the trip itself was amazing. Both our guide and driver were engaged, knowledgable, and entertaining. Their love of Scotland was infectious. We never could have seen and learned so much on our own. Our personal travel consultant, Gabby, was wonderful! So was our guide David and our driver Stevie on our 10 day small group tour of Scotland. We stayed at some wonderful hotels, especially Hame on Skye, and visited some of the most beautiful places! Nordic Visitor did an amazing job organizing our Scotland tour! Everything from our car hire to our accommodations went seamlessly. Our B&B hosts also had only good things to say about working with them. We chose to drive ourselves and somewhat followed the very detailed & highlighted map they provided, but we also had the freedom to explore other routes and did so on a several occasions. Our travel agent (Zach) was very responsive to any questions I had via emails - I never did speak to him only because it didn't seem necessary. If you want the freedom to explore without being overwhelmed with the details, I would highly recommend them.

Tour was well prepared. Lots of optional sites to see were provided in the information so it gave us a chance to stop at sites that interested us. All hotels has our reservation and the hotels were of the quality we expected. Would recommend your services.

Our trip to Scotland was quite amazing to say the least, and my wife and I really appreciate the effort Lauriane put into ensuring everything was coordinated right down to the last detail. My wife and I started to organise our Scotland and Ireland tour ourselves, however in the end decided to go with Nordic, and were glad we did. Our tour consultant Jana was excellent, nothing was too much trouble, we were able to customise our tour easily and, when we had a slight issue mid tour, our consultant fixed the problem and provided an accommodation upgrade for a couple of nights. Hotels (we had the comfort level) were good, as were the hire cars etc. The information package provided, including detailed itinerary notes, map and all the vouchers, all worked seamlessly.I know you pay for all the service and flexibility provided by Nordic, however in our case where we covered many miles and stayed in many hotels, it was worth it !

This is was our second trip using Nordic Visitor and like the first it was perfect. Our Travel Consultant listened and accommodated our needs and desires ensuring that we had the best vacation possible. Our accommodations were a nice mix of hotels, guest houses and B&B's, giving us a variety of experiences. Our favorite was Sconser Lodge on Isle of Skye in Scotland. The lodge was very cozy and the hosts made you feel like family; and the food, absolutely the best!! Nordic Visitor made it so very easy to enjoy our trip without all of the worries.

This company is really amazing, I was hesitant about it at first as it was a random google find but I am beyond pleased with them! Our trip to Scotland was a dream come true, well-timed and well-paced. It was a joy to work with Magda in planning the trip, including a day at the Braemar gathering for the Highland Games. This was a fantastic tour. Duncan, our travel consultant, was helpful with questions and changes.  Barbara, our tour guide, was so fun and knowledgeable. Jim, our driver, was fun and also safe.  The hotels were comfortable, the food was great (they were able to accommodate my allergies), and we got to see so much of Scotland. I would recommend! I would also book another trip with Nordic Visitor if I knew Barbara was our tour guide. She's that good.

It is a really good experience. Got the best group. Berry our guide was amazing. The bus and drivers incredible. The only I would say is that some hotels are old and dont have elevetors.

I thoroughly enjoyed my Scotland tour with Nordic Visitor. Our tour guide, Dave, and driver, Wullie, were amazing. Very knowledgeable about the places we visited, and epic with the banter and fun times. Accommodation was great. Food was amazing (especially at Hame on Skye). The bus was comfortable. The places we visited were very enjoyable. 

This was my first experience with a Nordic Visitor small group tour and I truly enjoyed my tour of Scotland and the people that were on the tour with me. The accommodations, transportation and activities were all really nice, particularly the accommodation and food on the Isle of Skye and we had an excellent driver and tour guide. The itinerary was varied and we visited more sites than one would think possible for the length of the tour. I would recommend this tour. 

Excellent forward planning, suggestions as to highlights and resteraunts and need for attraction reservations. Travel consulant (Chris) was superb: accomodating a myriad of pre trip questions and working overtime to sucessfully solve a ferry cancelation (weather) issue "on the fly, outside of business hours" so we didn't loose any vacation days. Excellent real-time followup and concern. Accomodations and breakfasts exceeded expectations. Map provided was well done but car GPS and Goodle maps essential for day to day planning as drive times in Scotland in no way correspond to mileage shown. Asked for a small car but agency provided a larger one which caused a lot of driving stress but this was rentlal company issue not a Nordic one.

We chose the 10 day Classic Scotland. although this is a tight schedule to cover the miles and sights to be seen there were side trips that we really wanted to see and do. Duncan our (guide) was very accommodating to adjust the tour to meet our expectations. Everything was arranged and pre-booked as expected and accommodations were very nice.

My Travel Consultant was very thorough and helpful with anything I needed. Everything was taken care of in terms of logistics (car rental, lodging) and the itinerary was filled with plenty of activities to do. I did not have one issue at all with my time in Scotland and will definitely be using Nordic in the future for any travel they offer to other various locations that interest me.

Our trip through Nordic to Scotland was amazing. Eve, our consultant, and Sophie, Eve's backup, were responsive and very helpful. He considered our interests and customize our trip. Dave also selected great places for lunch. My son proposed to his girlfriend on the trip and Dave picked the most incredible spot. We hiked to the Steall waterfall and it was perfect. I highly recommend Dave!

We had a wonderful experience with Nordic Visitor. Everything went without a problem. The cars were big enough to be comfortable and hold our luggage. The accommodations were wonderful. It was easy to add on some extra night's stay in Edinburgh. The St. Andrew's Square location was perfect for walking to so many things we wanted to see and also there were many delicious restaurants close by. The personalized guide book and map were very helpful with directions and giving different options of things to see and do. Everyone was so helpful and the locations and views were beautiful. The provided breakfasts were delicious with plenty of choices. I would happily recommend them to anyone and would love to book another tour in the future.

Communications with our Travel Consultant Chris by email was easy. After our tour info was received Chris quickly customized our tour as we requested. All hotels were clean and convenient and included delicious breakfasts. Car rental process was worry free, activities were "best of" highlights for the area, making our travel a lovely adventure!

This is our second trip with Nordic Visitor and it won't be our last. Both have been self-drive adventures. What we truly appreciate is knowing that after a long day of traveling we will arrive at a lovely guest house that has great food, clean and comfortable rooms and warm hospitality. NV provides a helpful map and itinerary of activities catered to our interests...how nice to be able to find the local yarn shop--sometimes next door to our guest house! They also pointed out when we should prebook some attractions. This last trip we were particularly thankful for all of the logistics regarding the many ferries that we had to use. Communication was easy and fast before and during our trip. Can't wait to start planning our third trip!

We have recently returned from our Express tour of Scotland. The itinerary prepared by our consultant Eve from Nordic Visitor included everything down to the map of the area, vouchers for the accommodation and car hire and suggested sightseeing activities (which was extensive and we managed to visit 95% without disappointment!). The whole experience in booking the tour with Eve was seamless and far exceeded our expectations! The accommodation chosen for us was perfect 4-5 star and we look forward to using Nordic Visitor for our next trip!

The self-guided package allowed us to make the best of our vacation to Scotland. The accommodation were outstanding, as was the includedd breakfast. Having the rental car taken care of made things easy as well, especially since we are from out of country. The drop off/pick up from the airport was also well worth the money, as opposed to finding a cab or using a rideshare service. One of the best aspects of using Nordic Visitor was the welcome packet, which had everything from suggestions on eateries to suggested destinations. The best part of the destination recommendations was how inclusive it was. There was everything from standard tourist activities to off the beaten path hiking suggestions. Would absolutely use this service again. It would be even better if flights were included as an option as well.

We had a lovely time in Scotland. Dave, our guide, was fabulous and provided an experience that we will not soon forget. The locations we stayed at were lovely, the food was really great (haggis was surprisingly good) and it was an experience we will not soon forget. We do wish we had known to what extent we needed waterproofs.

Nordic Visitor was great. Unfortunately they cannot control the weather in the Scottish Highlands, which was deplorable in the first week of October.
